2015 Pro Kabaddi League to be held in July
After a successful first season, the Pro-Kabaddi League (PKL) is all set for it’s second edition this July. The league was supposed to start in March, but the organisers did not stick to their earlier decision. PKL promoter had indicated that the second season will begin in March 2015 at the end of last season.
The obvious reason for the postponement is the fact that it clashes with the ICC Cricket World Cup. The biggest cricketing extravaganza is being telecast on Star Sports, which is also the broadcast partner for PKL. The organisers of the league have decided to hold the tournament during the same time frame as last year.
Charu Sharma and Anand Mahindra are the brains behind the league through their company Mashal Sports.
The Jaipur Pink Panthers won the inaugural edition beating U Mumba in the final.
