3 best Dabang Delhi matches from Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season two
The third season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League is almost upon us and the Dabang Delhi K.C. camp are ready to make a mark this time around by winning the trophy after impressing everyone with their style of play last season.
However, the Dabangs from Delhi have plenty of memories from the previous campaign in which they thoroughly entertained the crowd with some breathtaking Kabaddi on show. Here are three of the best Dabang Delhi matches from season two:
1. Jaipur Pink Panthers 27-35 Dabang Delhi at Jaipur
A game against the wounded defending Champions in their own backyard is an intimidating proposition for any team in any sport in the world. The Pink Panthers were wobbling in their title defense and had a chance for redemption playing on home soil. Unfortunately for the Panthers, Dabang Delhi had other ideas and compounded the Pink Panthers’ woes with a 35-27 win.
Kashiling Adake and Rohit Kumar Choudhary had successful raids while Ravinder Pahal’s brilliance in defense meant Pink Panthers’ star raiders, Rajesh Narwal and Jasvir Singh both were tackled and taken out of the game as Dabang Delhi worked up a 17-10 lead at the break.
The second half saw the team from Delhi tactfully hold their lead while accumulating raid points, resulting in the 35-27 win.
2. Dabang Delhi 45-26 Patna Pirates at Delhi
Dabang Delhi’s biggest win of the season came in Delhi against Patna Pirates. This game wasn’t great as a contest but wasn’t short of entertainment thanks to Kashiling Adake’s 13 points.
Claiming a super raid in the very first minute, he never looked back, helping Delhi to a 26-11 half-time lead. The second half was a similar story as Rohit Kumar Choudhary too joined in on the act as the Delhi outfit totally decimated the Patna Pirates 45-26.
3. Dabang Delhi 45-45 Telugu Titans at Delhi
Once again, it was the Kashiling Adake show for Dabang Delhi as he racked up 24 raid points in the game, something never achieved before in history. The game a complete roller coaster and there were twists one after the other. After a quick start from the Titans, Dabang Delhi bounced back to lead 20-18 at half time.
Leading 37-33 with five minutes to play, Dabang Delhi were forced back just two minutes later as Telugu Titans got into a 38-40 lead, before a super raid from Kashiling Adake put Delhi back in front.
With Dabang Delhi leading by one point going into the final raid of the game, Kashiling’s raid was adjudged unsuccessful post a review as the late drama saw both the teams settling for a draw.
