BLR vs BEN Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 9, 2024
The Bengaluru Bulls and the Bengal Warriorz go face-to-face in the final group-stage match of the Hyderabad leg of Pro Kabaddi 2024 on Saturday, November 9 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.
The Bulls ended a poor run of games with a much-needed 36-32 win over the Tamil Thalaivas on Monday, and after a handy break, they'll enter this game rejuvenated and determined to build on that win and gather some momentum in their campaign.
Meanwhile, the Warriorz will be disappointed at losing 30-33 to Dabang Delhi KC despite Nitin Kumar's stellar raiding efforts (15 raid points) and a High 5 from captain Fazel Atrachali. With two wins, losses, and ties apiece in this campaign, they'll want a win from this match to move back to the top half of the table.
Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks.
#3 Parteek (ALL) (BLR)
Bengaluru Bulls' left cover Parteek has been classified as an all-rounder on Dream11. With only seven tackle points in six matches, his ownership is understandably low, but his Dream11 backers could be heavily rewarded for that reason in this match.
He quite simply is due a Dream11 points haul after going through a prolonged lean patch that doesn't befit a player of his skill and quality. He was one of the Bulls' better players last season, scoring 27 tackle points in just 13 appearances, a real achievement when you consider he's a left cover, arguably the least point-scoring position in kabaddi.
While nothing much is in his favor, especially the individual match-ups, those who place their faith on him in Dream11 will simply hope for him to play with confidence, with the rest likely to fall in place.
#2 Praveen Thakur (ALL) (BEN)
Another under-fire left cover defender makes the list, but this time, he actually has match-ups going his way, and while he hasn't had much success in the way of tackle points so far, he's very likely to haul big against the predominantly left-raiding Bengaluru Bulls side.
Praveen Thakur is the player we're talking about here. The left cover usurped incumbent Shreyas Umbardand from his position, but he hasn't impressed. With his rope in the side definitely running out, Praveen needs to step up and this could be a great game to do so.
Almost every left cover who has come up against the Bulls has enjoyed success, and with Ajinkya Pawar, Akshit Dhull, Sushil, and potentially Pardeep likely to be involved, Praveen has no shortage of raiders to initiate tackles on and pick up tackle points.
He could be a very powerful Dream11 surprise pick.
#1 Pardeep Narwal (RAI) (BLR)
Pardeep Narwal's absence from the Bulls' 36-32 win over the Thalaivas raised eyebrows and speculations as to whether the management had dropped him. But Head Coach Randhir Sehrawat confirmed that he was ruled out due to an illness and that he'd be available for selection in the next match.
With the Bulls having a solid four-day gap between their previous outing and this one, Pardeep should've made a full recovery and is expected to make a comeback to the playing XI in place of Pankaj.
The record-breaker, barring one good half against the Gujarat Giants this season, has largely struggled, and despite that, he has managed to score 35 raid points in six matches. While he might not be as quick and agile as he was a few seasons ago, he can be a force to reckon with on his day.
While a risky punt, given how the Bulls are happy to substitute their starting players for substitutes who inevitably outperform them, Pardeep Narwal could definitely be a game-changing Dream11 differential if he clicks.
