BLR vs TAM Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 4, 2024
The Bengaluru Bulls and the Tamil Thalaivas go head-to-head in a PKL 11 Southern Derby on Monday, November 4, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Bulls' dismal start to the season continued as they were beaten 35-38 by the Telugu Titans. They'll thank their substitutes even for that result as at one point, they were trailing by close to 20 points, and it's not looking good for them ahead of a match with the in-form Thalaivas.
The Thalaivas are 2nd on the PKL 11 points table and will look to breathe down the league leader Puneri Paltan's neck with a win in this encounter.
Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this one.
#3 Aashish (ALL) (TAM)
Tamil Thalaivas' left cover defender Aashish is classified as an all-rounder on Dream11. With only two tackle points in four matches, he hasn't done enough for Dream11 players to consider him as a serious option.
However, he could well haul big in this match because of the composition of the Bengaluru Bulls' raiding unit. It's well-documented that the Bulls have the most left raiders in their team, with Pardeep Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar, Akshit Dhull, Sushil, and even Pankaj, likely to raid from the left.
This presents Aashish with ample opportunities to initiate tackles and add to his Dream11 points tally. Picking an unproven asset is risky, but Aashish could be a rewarding selection for those willing to take that chance
#2 Surinder Singh (DEF) (BLR)
While he was benched for their last match, given the crisis they are in right now, expect the Bulls to recall right cover Surinder Singh into the starting 7. Both the Thalaivas' lead raiders are right raiders, and the Bulls will need Surinder in his confident and dominant best if they want to stop Narender and Sachin from going on a rampage.
Surinder is a very streaky Dream11 pick, and on his day, he really loves to accumulate the points. He did get a High 5 in the very first match of the season, and while he has scored only four tackle points in five matches since, he has it in him to deliver a big haul, and is a solid Dream11 surprise pick.
#1 Amirhossein Bastami (DEF) (TAM)
For the same reasons that make Aashish a solid Dream11 pick in this match, Amirhossein Bastami could well score a High 5 in this one. The Tamil Thalaivas' right corner was having a tough time deputizing in the injured captain Sagar Rathee's spot, but four tackle points in his last match against the Gujarat Giants could well set him going this season.
The Bulls' raiding department is full of left raiders, and that puts the right corner Bastami in pole position to finish this match as the best defender. While he's not the most confident in terms of initiating tackles, he has a very high points ceiling and could haul big tonight.
