Dabang Delhi vs Bengal Warriors - Can the Eagles end their home leg on a high?
Dabang Delhi and Jaipur Pink Panthers played out a cracking 21-21 draw in Delhi on Friday to provide a lot of thrill for the supporters in their previous match. Heading into the final day of their home leg, the Eagles will look to finish on a high against the Bengal Warriors, who are presently fourth in the table.
For the Eagles, it was Selvamani, who was the star last night, scoring 5 points, most of them coming at important junctures of the match. Kashiling Adake, who has had a such a fine season, also chipped in on the night with a superb raid in the first half that gave them the lead.
Like Selvamani on Friday, it would certainly be heartening to see a new hero emerge for the Eagles on Saturday night as well as it would give them some hope for next season. Sandeep Dhull in defence and Surjeet Singh while raiding have been consistent throughout the league and they will be looking to sustain their impressive run in the last couple of matches as well.
Jang Kun Lee has provided good attacking impetus in Nitin Tomar's absence, and has 51 points under his belt and they will be hoping that he continues to impress. The Warriors’ defence has been their forte and their fans will be hoping the trio of Nilesh Shinde, Bajirao Hodage and Girish Ernak continue their great form.
The last time these two teams met each other, the Warriors reigned supreme with a 34-17 victory and the Eagles will be hoping to exact revenge this time around.
The Dabangs have received good home support so far and so they will look to give their fans a positive result whereas for the Warriors, anything less than a win could severely impact their chances of making it to the semifinals.
