Dabangs seek to make it 3 out of 3
The spring in the step is back! The swag is almost unmistakable! Such is the aura around the Dabang Delhi boys as they walked out for practice at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Results going either way can show its effect on players and one glance at the aforementioned and you will align with the same notion. Down and out after a demoralizing lose to the Telegu Titans, the Dabangs seem to be back in the most extraordinary way possible. While they extended Puneri Paltans’ misery to notch their 1st win, an annihilation of hosts Bengal Warriors ensued a day later to extend their run.
Ahead of their clash with Bengaluru Bulls, the whole squad exuded confidence. Local boy and defender Amit Chillar said, “We have extremely confident that we will win all our matches here too (they won both in Kolkata).”
The loss in the first match to Telegu Titans had cynics exclaim over their attack and point fetching abilities. Not only the raiders struggled, both Kashiling Adake and the newly recruited Rohit Chowdhury just didn’t look the part and if not for some inspired defending by Ravinder Pahal, the difference in the scoreline could have been much bigger.
Coach Honnappa asserted that the result from that day has been left behind, “That happens in sport, we had a bad day but thankfully, we have left that behind us.From here on, we can only go up.”
Tonight’s encounter against the Bulls, a team they beat 29-27 last season promises to be another thriller, but as the coach mentioned, “The team is ready for everthing they throw at us.We haven’t felt this good ever before and that should show in our game again.”
