DEL vs TAM Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 8, 2024
With the Hyderabad leg of PKL 11 set to wrap up on Saturday, November 9, Dabang Delhi KC and Tamil Thalaivas bid goodbye to the fans at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The two teams will face off in the second match of Friday's (November 8) doubleheader.
Dabang Delhi got a huge result by beating the Bengal Warriorz 33-30, courtesy of another Ashu Malik Super 10, which was well supported by the rest of the team. The defense, in particular, was impressive in their restraint and relatively less error-prone outing.
Meanwhile, the Thalaivas lost to the Telugu Titans 34-35 despite a 17-point haul from Sachin Tanwar. They'll look to get back to winning ways in this match.
On that note, let's look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this match.
#3 Aashish (ALL - TAM, 12.5 Credits)
Tamil Thalaivas' left cover defender Aashish has been in and out of the starting 7 throughout PKL 11, swapping places with Anuj Gawade. But the team seems to have settled on Aashish as the starting left cover, and if he does get the start against Delhi, he could be a handy Dream11 pick.
At 12.5 credits, he's an affordable option who could free up funds for some other players. While he has scored only four tackle points in as many appearances this season, he has been a part of the Thalaivas since Season 8, mostly operating as a substitute, and this could well be his time.
His defending will be crucial against the likes of Vinay Virender, and while it is risky, Aashish has an outside chance of picking up a differential Dream11 haul.
#2 Ashish (DEF - DEL, 13 Credits)
Another Ashish, this time from Dabang Delhi, could be a good utility Dream11 pick. Dabang Delhi have two players with Ashish as their first name, and while the left corner Ashish Malik's place in the side is in question after another sub-par outing against Bengal, Ashish Narwal, the utility player, was instrumental in their win.
Ashish scored two touch points, two bonus points, and two tackle points against Bengal, producing a neat Dream11 haul for his owners and some vital points at crucial moments for his team. His sense of timing of the tackle diving in from those in positions is excellent, and it increases his points ceiling by a significant margin if he can put some tackles in against the Thalaivas' raiders.
At 13.5 credits, he's one of the better picks from Delhi after Ashu Malik and merits consideration.
#1 Vinay Virender (RAI - DEL, 13.5 Credits)
Dabang Delhi KC have found a quality supporting raider in Vinay Virender, with the left raider doing a stellar job, acting as an able foil for Ashu Malik. The former Telugu Titans man has scored 32 points in five matches so far and was one of their best players in the recent win over the Bengal Warriorz.
However, he has been overshadowed by the presence of three bigger names in the raiders' category - Ashu Malik, Narender, and Sachin Tanwar - and not many Dream11 players are willing to go for a fourth.
However, he has been backed to go in for plenty of raids by Dabang Delhi KC, and he'll also be up against the weaker side of the Thalaivas' defense. The right corner and the left cover position are their problem areas, and a marauding Vinay could record a big Dream11 haul if he gets a good start.
He's a surprise pick you could count on in this fixture.
