GUJ vs HAR Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 10, 2024
The Gujarat Giants and the Haryana Steelers will renew their rivalry just days after meeting at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. This time around, they will face off at a new venue in the second leg of PKL 11's group stage - the Noida Indoor Stadium - on Sunday, November 10.
The Giants have made a poor start to the season, winning only one of their opening six matches. Their most recent outing was the reverse fixture against the Steelers, which they lost 21-35. That win was the fourth of the season for Haryana in just six games, and they'll back themselves to do the double over their rivals in short time.
Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this fixture.
#3 Neeraj Kumar (DEF) (GUJ)
Neeraj Kumar's acquisition by the Gujarat Giants hasn't quite worked out the way the team would've envisioned. Their new captain has struggled to regain his defensive form for the team.
The right cover is one of the more experienced defenders in the PKL and has scored close to 200 tackle points in nearly half the matches. He'll have to lead from the front against a Haryana raiding unit that has been quite productive this season.
While he has scored only five tackle points this season, Neeraj's PKL records prove that he's a quality defender and should be a decent Dream11 pick for this match.
#2 Himanshu Singh (RAI) (GUJ)
In what has been a tournament of uncertainties for the Gujarat Giants, one bright spark is raiding all-rounder Himanshu Singh. He has scored 28 points in six matches so far, 24 of them raid points and four from tackles.
While he started as a substitute, he broke into the starting 7 and should retain his place going into this match. He was a utility player for the Tamil Thalaivas for three seasons before getting acquired by the Giants at the auction. He had his best season in PKL 9, scoring 45 raid points and five tackle points in 18 appearances.
Given his fairly high points ceiling, Himanshu Singh is a Dream11 pick worth consideration.
#1 Jaideep Dahiya (DEF) (HAR)
While he does have a decent ownership level in Dream11 teams by normal standards, Jaideep Dahiya can still be considered a surprise pic. He's pretty close to being a must-have for this match, and still doesn't have as much ownership as his ability warrants.
After missing the first few matches due to illness, he has done well to score six tackle points in three matches. The Haryana captain can do much better, especially after scoring 68 tackle points last season, and playing a pivotal role in their title challenge.
Against an underperforming raiding unit that has plenty of left raiders, Jaideep should have a field day and could well score a High 5. He's a great Dream11 pick for this one.
