HAR vs GUJ Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 7, 2024
The Haryana Steelers (HAR) and the Gujarat Giants (GUJ) go head-to-head in the 40th match of Pro Kabaddi 2024 on Thursday, November 7, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Giants have endured a dismal start to their campaign with only one win in five matches, and find themselves at the bottom of the points table. After suffering a heavy 30-49 defeat at the hands of the Puneri Paltan in their previous outing, they'll hope for a change of fortunes when they take on last season's runners-up Haryana Steelers.
The Steelers have won three and lost two in their opening five fixtures, with a win here taking them right back into the top half of the points table. They enter this match after finishing on the wrong side of a thrilling encounter against the Bengal Warriorz.
On that note, let's look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this one.
#3 Jitender Yadav (ALL) (GUJ)
Gujarat Giants' left corner Jitender Yadav could be a handy Dream11 surprise pick for this fixture. He returned to their starting XI against the Puneri Paltan, and while the rest of the defense struggled to keep up with the opponent raiders, Jitender, while making a few unsuccessful tackles, scored three tackle points.
He's likely to retain his spot in the team, and against a Haryana Steelers' raiding unit that's nowhere near as threatening as the Paltan's, he does stand a good chance of recording a Dream11 haul.
Left corners being the most likely to score maximum tackle points is something that most Dream11 players should know by now, and that's the appeal of someone like Jitender.
#2 Shivam Patare (RAI) (HAR)
Shivam Patare was set to take up the lead raider's role for the Steelers this season, but Vinay's strong performances have meant that the left raider has stayed out of the limelight and the same is reflected in his Dream11 ownership. He has had a decent start to PKL 11 by all means, scoring 25 raid points in five matches, but he'll know and want to improve on that number.
Against a Gujarat Giants defense that has been very patchy in their performance, Shivam can certainly make a mark and get his first Super 10 of the season. The Steelers got the better of the Giants in all three of their meetings last season, and Shivam could benefit from the all-out points they're likely to score if they make it four in four.
With a pretty high points ceiling, he's a solid Dream11 surprise pick.
#1 Parteek Dahiya (ALL) (GUJ)
Gujarat Giants' head coach Ram Mehar Singh spoke highly of the raiding talent at his disposal at the start of the season and insists that his statement remains the same despite his side's poor start to the season. While some of that must certainly have been attributed to Guman Singh and Rakesh HS, everyone in the team will rely heavily on the immensely talented Parteek Dahiya to start scoring points and revive this team's form.
A part of the Gujarat Giants since PKL 9, Parteek has been heavily backed by the team, and for good reason, with the raiding all-rounder scoring 308 raid points and 16 tackle points across the last two seasons.
He hasn't started PKL 11 well, picking up only 18 points in five matches. However, his ability is well known to most in the league, and he's certainly due a big Dream11 haul. With his ownership reaching differential levels, this is a great time to select Parteek in your teams.
