HAR vs TAM Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 17, 2024
The Haryana Steelers (HAR) and the Tamil Thalaivas (TAM) will play the first match of a PKL 11 doubleheader on Sunday, November 17, at the Noida Indoor Stadium.
The two teams have had contrasting runs this season, with the Steelers at the top of the points table with seven wins in nine matches, coming into this one on the back of a 37-32 win over the Patna Pirates. The Thalaivas also won their last outing, breaking their four-match losing run with a dominant 46-31 triumph over the Bengal Warriorz, led by a solid performance from some of their bench players.
Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this match.
#3 Sahil (ALL) (HAR) (11 Credits)
Defending all-rounder Sahil could be a handy Dream11 pick if he makes it to the starting 7 for the Steelers in this match. Haryana have often employed a fifth starting defender against strong raiding units as they did against the Patna Pirates in the previous match. Against a quality Thalaivas' raiding lineup, he's likely to get another opportunity in the starting lineup.
With only three tackle points in seven appearances, he doesn't have much statistical basis for selection, but he has gotten into good positions to initiate tackles and isn't far away from a game where he scored 2-3 tackle points. At 11 credits, he could be a useful Dream11 enabler.
#2 Shivam Patare (RAI) (HAR) (13.5 Credits)
Haryana Steelers' Shivam Patare has stepped up and delivered in quite a few matches for his team this season, doing well alongside Vinay to lead their raiding department. He has scored 48 points in nine matches, and could certainly have a better number, and a Dream11 points haul could be waiting for him in this match against the Thalaivas.
At 13.5 credits, he isn't the cheapest option, but his high points ceiling could compensate his Dream11 backers for the same.
#1 Vishal Chahal (RAI) (TAM) (11 Credits)
One of the key reasons the Tamil Thalaivas broke their four-match losing streak was the performance of young raider Vishal Chahal. He scored 11 raid points and one tackle point, helping his team win 46-31, and was their X-Factor in that match.
He's definitely set to retain his spot in the starting 7 after that performance, and his form and technical ability could make him an important player for the Thalaivas in trying to unlock the Haryana defense. A useful bench option for the Thalaivas since last season where he scored 35 raid points in 10 appearances, mostly as a substitute, he looks set to make the transition into a starting player soon.
At just 11 credits, he could be a very useful enabling option.
