JAI vs PAT Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 8, 2024
The Jaipur Pink Panthers and the Patna Pirates square off in the 41st match of PKL 11 on Friday, November 8. The Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad will host the contest.
It's a big game for both teams as they look to occupy a consistent place in the top half of the table. The Pirates enter the match after a close defeat to U Mumba, with Devank scoring yet another Super 10.
As for Jaipur, Arjun Deshwal's run of matches without a Super 10 was extended to four, with the captain scoring only five raid points. However, the rest of the team stepped up brilliantly, helping them to a gritty 33-30 win over the UP Yoddhas.
Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this fixture.
#3 Sandeep Kumar (RAI - PAT)
After starting the first few matches for the Pirates, Sandeep Kumar was benched for Sudhakar M against U Mumba, but he did come off the bench to score some useful points for the Pirates, five in total. With Sudhakar unable to impact the game, Sandeep is likely to regain his starting spot, and he could make a difference in this match.
Six games into the season and all eyes are on Devank and Ayan from the Pirates, and you can bet that the Jaipur defense will have a plan to stop them. Whether Devank and Ayan can continue to score points is ultimately down to their quality, but it does open up an opportunity for Sandeep to step up and deliver for the team.
He certainly can do so, and with his ownership levels in deep Dream11 differential territory, he's a solid surprise pick.
#2 Arpit Saroha (DEF - JAI)
After a few games on the bench, right corner Arpit Saroha was handed a start by Jaipur against the UP Yoddhas to replace an out-of-sorts Lucky Sharma, but he couldn't quite take it well and didn't score a single point. However, with Jaipur winning the match and Lucky not having a good run of matches, they should stick with Arpit for one more game, and the right corner should take this chance well if he gets it.
He had a decent time as a bench player for the Tamil Thalaivas in season 9, scoring 14 tackle points in eight appearances, and was very useful in Super Tackle situations. He was also a part of the Patna Pirates last season but didn't get enough game time.
Patna have left raiders like Ayan and Sudhakar who should directly go up against Arpit, and while he is an unproven Dream11 pick, he does have a high points ceiling and is one to consider.
#1 Shubham Shinde (DEF - PAT)
One of the best defenders in the PKL last season for the Bengal Warriors, Patna Pirates' star signing and captain Shubham Shinde has flattered to deceive so far in PKL 11. The right-corner defender has scored only 11 tackle points in six matches, and for a player of his caliber, it is way too low.
He scored 67 points overall last season in 22 matches for Bengal in PKL 10, and he'll be eyeing this match as his breakout game for the Pirates. A powerful and skillful defender with plenty of tricks in his arsenal, Shubham Shinde can keep any raider quiet on his day, and against a tough opponent, expect him to be among the points.
He's a solid Dream11 surprise pick.
