Jaipur Pink Panthers want to win Pro Kabaddi for Abhishek Bachchan, says Rajesh Narwal
Jaipur Pink Panthers face a fight to hold on to their crown which they won almost twelve months ago after finding themselves locked in a do-or-die battle with the Patna Pirates on Wednesday evening. Rajesh Narwal who was instrumental in the Pink Panthers’ march to glory last season has held his position of prominence this season as well, emerging as the team’s top raider with over 50 successful raids.
Rajesh’s hunger and desire to be champion again is there to be seen by all who have watched him closely. Behind this great hunger and desire is one man whom the raider completely adores and wants to win the Pro Kabaddi League for once again.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, Rajesh Narwal revealed the person he wants to win the league for.
“If there is any person who deserves the glory again it’s our owner Abhishek Bachchan. He is the nicest man on this planet and he, along with his wife, Aishwarya Rai have supported us tremendously,” said Rajesh Narwal.
“We owe Abhishek Bachchan the league again”
Rajesh Narwal admitted that seeing Abhishek Bachchan in the stands for every game with the kind of enthusiasm he shows drives him and his side to greater things.
“He (Abhishek Bachchan) is ever present in the stands while we play. He is our biggest fan and his enthusiasm drives me to go that extra mile. Having him in the stands in a huge boost for us,” added Rajesh.
He revealed that they desperation to win the league stems from the desire to repay Abhishek for his ample support throughout. He also said that the extra efforts made by the team owner have not gone unnoticed and vowed to reclaim the title again for the actor.
“I want to win the league for him. He has never put us under any kind of pressure and has always gone an extra mile to motivate us and make us feel comfortable. So I feel we owe him the league again and we will do that for him”, said a bullish Rajesh Narwal while heaping praise on his team owner.
Abhishek Bachchan is certain to make it to Pune tomorrow for his side’s make or break clash, having always been there with the team throughout the team’s ups and downs. And if it means giving Rajesh Narwal and the team a shot in the arm, the Patna Pirates are in for a long evening and an early exit.
