We are all set to go here for the Maharashtra Derby as U Mumba will be looking to make it 7-0 over their local rivals.

In case you have joined in late, Bengaluru Bulls have won the first game today by beating Bengal Warriors 24-23. Tactical errors made by Bengal Warriors cost them heavily and it will be interesing to know what they discuss in their team meetings.

Good evening friends and welcome to live coverage of the second game on the match day 2 of Pro Kabaddi 2016 Season 4.

We are in for a cracker here with the Maharashtra derby just on the second day. Puneri Paltan will be taking on U Mumba in a game that both teams would love to win and go to the top of the table. U Mumba are coming on the back of an excellent but nerve-wracking victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers while Puneri Paltan dug deep to win against Telugu Titans. Both teams looked really good and had to make comebacks throughout the game.

U Mumba were excellent in patches but took the game away from Jaipur when it actually mattered and a certain Rakesh Kumar stunned everyone with a scintillating performance in the second half of the match. However, U Mumba made some silly errors and were troubled immensely by their former star Shabeer Bapu, who made full use of his familiarity with the home side and made them pay.

Puneri Paltan’s performance, on the other hand, was similar to that of a dark horse, which grew in confidence as the game progressed. Not only did they manage to stop the onslaught by Telugu Titans, Paltan also hit back strongly with captain Manjeet Chhillar leading from the front. Chhillar kept rallying Paltan even when it looked bleak for the home side.

One thing that Puneri Paltan will need to be wary of is that U Mumba managed to beat Jaipur Pink Panthers despite not playing anything close to their best. And should Anup Kumar and his team perform to their potential, it would be really hard for anyone to stop them.

The odds are stacked against Puneri Paltan here. Not only have they not won againt U Mumba in the tournament’s history, their home leg had to be cancelled and to make it worse, was handed to state rivals U Mumba. All in all, this looks to be a cracker of a match and the perfect main course for this Sunday evening.
