Here is Anup Kumar cheering for his former team members ahead of the crunch tie between Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls!

Good evening everyone..

Welcome to the LIVE coverage of first of tonight’s double header between Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Delhi in the ongoing Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4.

The Pune-based franchise can all but cement their place at the 4th spot and qualify for the semi-finals with a win tonight against the Bulls, irrespective of what happens in the last match featuring U Mumba and Dabang Delhi. The Paltans’ received a welcome boost ahead of their important clash with their skipper Manjeet Chhillar making a return from a knee injury in their last encounter against the Eagles. Manjeet was instrumental in organising Pune’s defence to perfection against the home side and kept their semi-finals hopes alive as they are level on points with U Mumba but have a much better ‘Score difference’ which will help them to secure the 4th spot if they went on to win their last game against the Bulls.

On the other hand, Bengaluru Bulls currently sit in the 6th place in the league standings and will be playing their last match of their season 4 campaign as their semi-finals hopes were all but gone after their dismal home leg performance in which they lost all 4 of their home matches to claim an unwanted record. However, their star raider Rohit Kumar has been sensational in his inaugural season with the Bulls and has gathered a mammoth total of 84 raid points (4th highest) so far this season.

The two sides have met each other on 7 occasions in the PKL history with the Bulls winning the encounter on 4 of those occasions while the Pune-based franchise winning it on 3 occasions.

Players to watch out for:

Puneri Paltan – Deepak Niwas Hudda, Ajay Thakur

Bengaluru Bulls – Rohit Kumar, Mohit Chhillar

Last Match

Bengaluru Bulls – Won 28-27 against U Mumba, Match 49

Game Plan

Puneri Paltan – This game is like a virtual quarter-final for Puneri Paltan. They are up against the Bengaluru Bulls who has got nothing to lose. The star raider of Pune, Deepak Hooda will face the challenge of Mohit Chillar in the right corner and this little match-up will decide the winner of this match because if Deepak finds his rhythm early then he is unstoppable.

Bengaluru Bulls – Bulls have nothing to lose but they would like to end this season with a win. Ace Raider, Rohit Kumar has been their lone warrior in raiding. Tonight he will be taking on Pune's left corner, Joginder Narwal and right cover, Somvir Shekhar. Rohit should aware of the fact that both defenders are struggling and Manjeet Chillar might play at the left corner.
