Fazel Atrachali, known for his powerful waist hold that has stopped some of the best raiders, is a two-time PKL champion and one of the league’s top defenders. He is currently the most successful defender in the Pro Kabaddi League’s history.
The 'Sultan' of kabaddi is back to dominate in PKL Season 11 as the captain of the Bengal Warriorz side. He has joined forces alongside Maninder Singh, one of the top two raiders of PKL with the most number of successful raids.
Fazel has represented four teams in the past including U Mumba (2015, 2016, 2018–2021). Patna Pirates (2016), Gujarat Giants (2017, 2023), and Puneri Paltan (2022). He went for Rs. 1.38 crore to Paltan in the ninth season when the star retained the tag of the most expensive defender in the history of the PKL. However, in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 auction, the Iranian defender was bought by the Bengal Warriorz for a handsome bid of Rs. 50 lakh.
Fazel is currently leading the Bengal-based side, with the likes of Nitesh Kumar, Mayur Kadam, Vaibhav Garje, and Nitin Dhankar in their ranks.

Fazel Atrachali's Pro Kabaddi journey started in Season 2 with U Mumba, where he made an impact right away, scoring 12 points in just five matches. After debuting with U Mumba in Season 2, he became a key figure in Season 3, contributing 32 tackle points.
In Season 4, he moved to Patna Pirates, scoring 52 tackle points, winning the title, and earning the Best Defender Award. Season 5 saw him join Gujarat Fortunegiants, guiding them to the final with 57 tackle points. He returned to U Mumba in Seasons 6 and 7, captaining the team and finishing both seasons with over 80 tackle points.
In Season 8 of Pro Kabaddi, Fazel Atrachali continued his stellar form with U Mumba, racking up 51 tackle points and delivering two High-5s, maintaining his reputation as one of the league's top defenders.
In the following season, the 32-year-old then moved to Puneri Paltan and had an outstanding campaign, scoring 65 tackle points along with three High-5s, further solidifying his dominance on the mat.
Playing for Gujarat Giants in Season 10, Fazel once again showcased his defensive brilliance, accumulating 62 tackle points, including four Super Tackles and three High-5s, proving his consistency as one of PKL's finest defenders.
