“His mood went off when Titans used FBM” - Fans unhappy with Telugu Titans using FBM for Pawan Sehrawat in Pro Kabaddi 2024 Auction
Hi-flyer Pawan Sehrawat has been retained by the Telugu Titans for the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League 2024 season as the franchise used the Final Bid Match (FBM) option for a whopping price of INR 1.725 Crore.
Though U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls tried their best to have the services of the Indian national team skipper, the Bulls were successful in getting the final bid. However, the Titans were quick to use the FBM option.
Interestingly, fans caught Pawan Sehrawat’s live reaction on TV when the Titans exercised the FBM option. One user on X noted that the Star Raider seemed to prefer other franchises over the Titans.
“His mood went off after Telugu used FBM,” a fan posted.
“He wanted to join @umumba,” a user posted on X.
“He wanted to go to Bengaluru,” another fan stated.
“Pawan Sehrawat already had bad year and Telugu Titans got him back to make next year much worse for him,” a user opined.
“Again 😢 No Homecoming for Pawan Sehrawat,” a fan posted.
“We bought pawan sehrawat at such a fair price & Telugu titans excercised their fbm card,” a Bengaluru fan posted.
Pawan Sehrawat couldn’t propel Telugu Titans to the top half of the table in PKL 10
After missing the ninth season of the PKL for Tamil Thalaivas, Pawan Sehrawat was released by the franchise. His services were acquired by the Telugu Titans for a whopping price of INR 2.605 Crore, emerging as the most expensive pick in PKL Auction history.
Though he amassed 217 points in PKL 10, he couldn’t lead his side to the top half of the table as they settled with the wooden spoon. With the Titans aiming to build a better side this time, we can expect them to turn the tables.
It's important to note that Pawan Sehrawat emerged as the match-winner for the Bengaluru Bulls for three seasons as the star raider accumulated 962 points for the south-based franchise across three different editions. Thus, it was no surprise that the Bulls went all guns blazing for the hi-flyer at the PKL 2024 Auction.
