"If we do something fun, he abuses us"- Ajinkya Pawar says 'danger' coach Randhir Sehrawat does not allow pranks in Bengaluru Bulls
Bengaluru Bulls player Ajinkya Pawar has made some surprising revelations about the team's coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat. While most teams in franchise leagues prefer to keep a light-hearted atmosphere, the atmosphere in the Bulls camp is quite intense always as the players are not allowed fun time.
During an appearance on The Unboxing Podcast, Bulls player Ajinkya Pawar was asked to share some fun locker room stories of his team. Interestingly, Pawar said that the coach does not allow them to have fun and asks them to stay fully focused on practice.
Pawar further mentioned that the coach even abuses the players when they try to pull off some pranks. Labeling Randhir Sehrawat as a 'danger' coach, Pawar said:
"There is no time for fun in our team because the coach is danger. If we do something fun, he abuses us, like he scolds us. During practice, everything is serious. When practice starts, everything is serious. From the beginning, it is serious. Even I have been scolded for not being focused on practice."
The Bengaluru Bulls are currently at the bottom of the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 points table with four defeats in four matches. Pawar, who is one of the main raiders of the team, has failed to justify the faith shown by the team management.
"We don't talk much in front of him"- Ajinkya Pawar comments on locker room atmosphere at Bengaluru Bulls under coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat
During the same podcast, the host asked Ajinkya Pawar to share his experience of playing under a legendary coach like Randhir Sehrawat, who has been associated with the Bengaluru Bulls since the first PKL season.
"The experience is normal. Whatever he tells us, we do. We don't talk much in front of him. Coach sir is very strict so we can't do more things. I am scared of him, but it should be like that. He is doing his job because it is a tough season. It will be good for everyone if we are disciplined."
The Bulls will play their next PKL match against the Dabang Delhi KC on October 29. It will be interesting to see if they can snap their four-match losing streak.
