Inaugural All India Kabaddi Tournament to be staged from October 11 onwards
The inaugural edition of the All India Kabaddi Tournament is scheduled to take place from October 11 to 13 at the YMCA Multi-Purpose Sports Project ground in Faridabad, Haryana. The tournament will see 15 teams compete for the silverware, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Delhi. A few other teams, including two local clubs from Faridabad, will be seen in action during the three-day competition.
Qualified match officials from Haryana's District Kabaddi Associations will be in charge and will oversee the matches in the inaugural edition of the All India Kabaddi Tournament.
The chairman of the YMCA Multi-Purpose Sports Project, Mr. Norris Pritam, has also announced plans to launch a boxing academy at the complex. The academy will be launched in partnership with India's boxing champion Mary Kom.

Pro Kabaddi League and Indian Premier League Kabaddi are among the tournaments this year
The Pro Kabaddi League will commence on October 18 at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. Hosts Telugu Titans will take on the Bengaluru Bulls, while U Mumba and Dabang Delhi K.C. will face each other on the opening day of the competition.
The 11th edition of the Indian top-tier league will see 12 teams compete for the silverware across three venues. The remaining two venues for the league stage are the Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida and the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune.
Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League Kabaddi 2024 will be held from October 4 to 19 at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium in Haryana. The inaugural season will see eight franchises compete with a few former PKL and Indian kabaddi stars in action.
