Inaugural IPKL 2024 to commence on October 4; Haryana to host

The inaugural edition of the Indian Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL) 2024 will be held from October 4 to 19 at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium in Panchkula.

UP Titan, Punjab Paltan, Gujarat Gladiators, Mumbai Marathas, Bengaluru Bison, Haryana Hurricane, Rajasthan Rulers, and Delhi Dragons are the eight franchises competing in the first edition of the tournament.

Shiv Kumar will lead the Haryana-based franchise while Kapil Narwal has been named the captain of the Rajasthan Rulers. Meanwhile, Vikas Dahiya will be at the helm for Delhi Dragons in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier Kabaddi League.

Bengaluru Binson named Sachin Bidhan their captain for the inaugural Indian Premier Kabaddi Leagueseason. Sunil Narwal will lead the Uttar Pradesh franchise in IPKL 2024 while former Indian defender Sandeep Kandola has been handed the responsibility to lead the Punjab Paltan.

Savin Narwal will lead the Mumbai Marathas and Ajay Kumar will don the captaincy armband for Gujarat Gladiators at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium from October 4 onwards.

Manjeet Chillar, the Brand Ambassador for the IPKL, said at the event (according to a press release):

Indian Premier Kabaddi League: Where to watch IPKL 2024?

The inaugural edition of the Indian Premier Kabaddi League will be telecast live on the Sony Sports Network. Two league stage matches will be played every day, with the first match scheduled to commence at 7:00 PM IST while the second game of the day will be played from 8:00 PM IST onwards.
