"Money is everything in life" - Sachin Tanwar opens up on leaving Patna Pirates, gives open challenge to Shadloui and Sunil Kumar

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2024's most expensive player Sachin Tanwar has disclosed the reason why he moved on from the Patna Pirates ahead of the new season. Besides, the Tamil Thalaivas star also gave an open challenge to the league's top two defenders.

Tanwar appeared on the Unboxing Podcast recently, where he spoke about a range of topics. Earlier this year, Tanwar emerged as the most expensive player of PKL 11 Auction, when the Tamil Thalaivas signed him for ₹2.15 crore.

In the last three editions of PKL, Sachin represented the Patna Pirates, but he entered the auction this year because he felt he could be the most expensive pick.

"I always had that in my desire that I have a memorable auction. I had been playing for the Patna Pirates for a long time. So, I felt somewhere in my heart that I'll be the most expensive player if I go in the auction," Sachin said.
"Money is everything in life. We can't buy anything in life, in this world without money. It doesn't matter if a dream is big or small, without money, it cannot be fulfilled. Life changes completely when you make money," he added.

The Rajasthan-born raider further mentioned that it was his dream to buy a house in Jaipur, which he will fulfill soon, thanks to the money earned from Pro Kabaddi League.

"Sunil and Shadloui, tackle me if you can in PKL 11"- Sachin Tanwar makes bold challenge

During the same podcast, the host asked Sachin Tanwar if he would like to challenge any defender since he was the most expensive raider in the Pro Kabaddi League. Tanwar ended up sending open challenges to U Mumba's Sunil Kumar and Haryana Steelers' Mohammadreza Shadloui.

"I'd like to challenge Sunil and Shadloui. I'll score against them definitely. I give them open challenge - 'Sunil and Shadloui, tackle me if you can in PKL 11!'" Sachin concluded.
