Pawan Sehrawat has emerged as one of the finest raiders in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) history. His nickname 'Hi-Flyer' is due to his ability to leap over the shoulders of the opposition defeners and execute a crisp escape.
Since making his PKL debut in 2016, Sehrawat has earned 1,218 raid points in 129 appearances, with 64 Super 10s. He is third on the all-time charts behind Pardeep Narwal (1718) and Maninder Singh (1444).
Sehrawat also holds the record for scoring the most raid points (39) in a single PKL game. He achieved the feat during the 2019 season while playing for the Bengaluru Bulls.
The 28-year-old rose to fame in the 2018 season, recording 271 raid points with 13 Super 10s. He also helped the Bulls win their maiden title victory in the PKL. The following season, he registered his career-best 346 raid points, which resulted in the Bulls sealing the playoff spot.
After playing with the Bulls until 2021, Pawan Sehrawat plied his trade with the Tamil Thalaivas for a solitary season. He emerged as the most expensive acquisition in PKL history in the PKL 2023 auction, as Telugu Titans shelled out ₹2.605 crore to secure his services.
After he returned with 200+ points in 2023, the Titans retained him for the 2024 season.
Pawan Sehrawat's Telugu Titans begin PKL 2024 on a disappointing note
The Pawan Sehrawat-led Telugu Titans haven't gotten off to a good start in the PKL 2024 season. They won their first game against the Bengaluru Bulls 37-29.
However, Tamil Thalaivas provided them a reality check with a scoreline of 44-29 in their second outing. In their third game, they were handed a lopsided 52-22 loss against Jaipur Pink Panthers.
The Titans are currently 11th in the points table with a solitary victory in three appearances with a points difference of -37. Meanwhile, Sehrawat has scored 29 raid points in these games.
The side will clash against Dabang Delhi K.C. in their fourth game of PKL 2024.
