Pro Kabaddi 2024, Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Dabang Delhi: 3 player battles to watch out for
Match No. 70 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 will be played between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Dabang Delhi K.C on Friday, November 22. The match will be played at Noida Indoor Stadium, Noida from 9:00 pm IST.
Both teams sit near each other. Jaipur Pink Panthers are sixth with six wins and a tie, along with three losses. On the other end, Dabang Delhi have been popped out of the top six, sitting in the seventh spot with five wins and as many losses to go with two ties.
Both teams are hunting for a win here, and it will be a game worth watching, where one side will be looking to hold onto their berth in the top half of the table, and another team aiming to make it back there.
On that note, let's take a look at the player battles in this contest.
#1 Naveen Kumar vs Ankush Rathee
Naveen Kumar, or Naveen Express as his fans address him, is back in the fray after being off the mat owing to an injury. So far this season, he has put in 69 raids across five games, scoring 33 raid points with one Super 10 to his name.
At the other end, Ankush Rathee has been a fixture in the Jaipur defense. Being a part of 10 games this season for Jaipur, he has scored 31 tackle points from 44 tackles, having a success rate of 68%. This player battle has the potential to be a box office in tonight's contest.
#2 Ashu Malik vs Surjeet Singh
In Naveen's absence, Ashu has been the leading raider for Dabang Delhi in their contests so far. With a total of 139 points off 251 raids, he has been unstoppable. Add to that he has had 11 Super 10s so far, which makes him a raider too hot to handle.
Handling Ashu Malik will be a challenge for Surjeet Singh, who has yet to hit his best this season. From 46 tackles he has attempted this season, he has yielded a total of 21 points. It will be interesting to see how things pan out for him in this contest.
#3 Ashish Malik vs Arjun Deshwal
Our last player battle sees Jaipur's star raider Arjun Deshwal pitted against Ashish Malik. Arjun has breached the 100-point barrier this season, scoring 108 points from 194 raids with four Super 10s to his name.
Ashish Malik, however, hasn't enjoyed a great time so far, scoring only 24 tackle points out of 59 attempted tackles. His tackle success rate has been 39% and he will look to get that up by putting in a great performance today.
