Pro Kabaddi 2024: "Kuch dekhne ka to hai hi nahi mere bhai" - Pardeep Narwal gives light-hearted reply when asked for positives after Bulls' 15th loss
Bengaluru Bulls captain Pardeep Narwal provided a light-hearted response to a journalist when asked for positives from their 26-37 defeat against the Haryana Steelers on Wednesday, December 11. Instead of ignoring the question or giving a generic reply, Pardeep answered with a smile.
Despite having some big names in their Pro Kabaddi League 2024 squad, Bengaluru Bulls hold the 12th position in the points table. The Bulls have won only two out of their 18 league games.
On Wednesday, the Bulls played against the Steelers and lost by 11 points. At the post-match press conference, Pardeep Narwal was asked to talk about the positives for his team, to which he replied with a smile:
"Kuch dekhne ka to hai hi nahi mere bhai. Kya dekhe? Samajh me nahi aa raha." (What do you want us to see as a positive my friend? I can't understand anything here).
Pardeep had an off day on the mat, managing only one point in eight raids before the coach substituted him. Reflecting on the team's overall performance against Haryana, Pardeep added:
"The team was performing well. The difference wasn't too big before the half time mark. After that, the performance was not the same. Both departments could not perform well. That's the area where we made mistakes."
After the first 20 minutes, the score was 15-11 in favor of the Haryana Steelers. In the second half, the Steelers scored 22 points while the Bulls managed only 15 as the final scoreline read 37-26.
"Both defense and offense have committed errors in this game" - Nitin Rawal agrees with Pardeep Narwal that the Bulls had an off-day
Bengaluru Bulls all-rounder Nitin Rawal was also present at the post-match press conference. Even he was asked to share his thoughts on the team's 11-point defeat against the Haryana Steelers.
"Both defense and offense have committed errors in this game. As Pardeep Narwal bhai said, we did a decent job till half time, but in the second half, none of the two departments could do their jobs. That was the turning point," Nitin responded.
Bengaluru Bulls have no chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They still have four league matches remaining, where Pardeep Narwal and Nitin Rawal will try to ensure that the Bulls do not finish 12th.
