Pro Kabaddi 2024: PKL 11 playoffs and final to be held in Pune

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 playoffs and final will take place in Pune, Maharashtra. The iconic Badminton Hall, Balewadi Sports Complex, will host the matches from December 26 to December 29, 2024.

The announcement by Mashal Sports, the league organizers, has sparked excitement among kabaddi enthusiasts, as Pune prepares to host the thrilling conclusion of this competitive season.

The top six teams from the league stage will battle it out for the coveted PKL Trophy. The playoffs will kick off with the eliminator matches on December 26, followed by the semi-finals on December 27. The much-anticipated grand finale is set for December 29, promising an electrifying showdown to determine the PKL Season 11 champion.


PKL 11 Playoff Structure

The format of the playoffs is designed to reward consistency and competitiveness. The top two teams from the league stage will secure direct entry into the semi-finals. The third-placed team will face the sixth-placed team in Eliminator 1, while the fourth-placed team will clash with the fifth-placed side in Eliminator 2. These matches are scheduled for December 26.

The winners of the eliminators will then progress to the semi-finals, where the top-ranked teams await. The winner of Eliminator 1 will compete against the league's table toppers in Semi-Final 1, while the winner of Eliminator 2 will face the second-placed team in Semi-Final 2. Both semi-finals will be played on December 27. The victorious teams from these matches will advance to the grand finale on December 29.

Currently, the league is being held in Noida at the Indoor Stadium, with matches ongoing until December 1. The tournament will then shift to Pune for the final leg of the league stage, where matches will take place from December 3 to December 24 before the playoffs begin.

As of Tuesday, November 26, Haryana Steelers are atop the PKL 11 points table with 51 points. They are followed by U Mumba in second place, Daband Delhi KC in third, and Telugu Titans in fourth.

Defending champions Puneri Paltan are in the fifth position followed by Patna Pirates, making up for the top six teams at the moment.
