The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2023 was a season to remember, filled with thrilling encounters, nail-biting finishes, and individual brilliance. The highlight of the season was Puneri Paltan clinching their maiden PKL title by defeating Haryana Steelers 28-25 in a closely contested final. While the team effort of the Paltan shone through, the tournament also witnessed outstanding individual performances from players across various teams.
Here, we take a detailed look at the top raiders and defenders who left their mark in PKL 10.
Most Raid Points in Pro Kabaddi 2023
Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Arjun Deshwal and Dabang Delhi KC’s Ashu Malik dominated the raiding charts in PKL 10, each securing 276 raid points in 23 matches. Despite their exceptional performances, their teams fell short of securing the title.
Pawan Sehrawat, the Hi-Flyer from Telugu Titans, was the lone warrior in his team’s dismal campaign, amassing 202 raid points in 21 games. His efforts stood out in an otherwise forgettable season for the Titans.
Bengal Warriorz’s captain, Maninder Singh, followed closely with 197 raid points in 21 games. Tamil Thalaivas’ Narender Kandola was not far behind, with 186 raid points in 21 matches.
Sachin Tanwar of Patna Pirates collected 171 raid points in 22 games, while Bengal Warriorz’s Nitin Dhankar provided excellent support to Maninder Singh, earning 169 raid points in 20 games.
Haryana Steelers’ Vinay played a pivotal role in their runner-up finish, contributing 163 raid points in 23 matches. Sharing the same tally was U Mumba’s Guman Singh, who achieved the feat in just 18 games.
The top 10 was rounded off by Puneri Paltan’s captain Aslam Inamdar, who led from the front during their title-winning campaign with 142 raid points in 23 matches.
Most Tackle Points in Pro Kabaddi 2023
Puneri Paltan’s Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh was in a league of his own, finishing as the top defender with a staggering 99 tackle points in 24 matches. His dominance in defense was instrumental in Paltan’s historic triumph.
Telugu Titans’ Krishan Dhull secured the second spot with 78 tackle points in 23 games, though his efforts couldn’t lift the Titans’ overall performance. Dabang Delhi KC’s Yogesh Dahiya emerged as a revelation, finishing third with 74 tackle points in 23 games and earning the Emerging Player of the Season award.
Haryana Steelers’ Rahul Sethpal and Mohit Nandal formed a formidable defensive duo, securing 73 and 70 tackle points in 23 and 24 games, respectively. Sharing the fifth spot with Nandal was Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Ankush Rathee, who also scored 70 tackle points in 22 matches.
Tamil Thalaivas’ Sahil Gulia and Puneri Paltan’s Gaurav Khatri both tallied 69 tackle points, placing them in a tie for the seventh position.
Haryana Steelers’ captain Jaideep Dahiya claimed the ninth spot with 68 tackle points in 23 matches. Rounding off the top 10 was Tamil Thalaivas’ Sagar Rathee, who managed 66 tackle points in just 18 games.
