"Saari mehnat paani mein gayi" - Fans troll Bengaluru Bulls and U Mumba as Telugu Titans use FBM for Pawan Sehrawat in Pro Kabaddi 2024 Auction

Indian national team skipper Pawan Sehrawat continues to stay with the Telugu Titans as the franchise used the FBM (Final Bid Match) option to secure his services for the second consecutive season for INR 1.725 crore.

Interestingly, U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls were in the bidding war for the hi-flyer. However, once the bids concluded, the Bulls’ happiness turned out to be short-lived as the Titans were quick to use the FBM option for the star raider.

Fans were quick to troll both U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls as both franchises tried their best to get the services of Pawan but in the end, Telugu Titans retained him, saving a lot of bucks compared to the previous season’s bid.

“Saari mehnat paani mein gayi, Mumba. Telugu Titans sneak in with fbm at the right moment and grabbed Pawan,” a fan tweeted.
"Feeling sad for U mumba and bulls with 69 others,” a fan joked.
“Shadlou and Pawan, Umumba are certified bottlers man,” a fan expressed his frustration," a user quoted.
“Hard luck - @umumba,” another user tweeted.
“Mujhe samajh nahi aata itne successful run ke baad Bengaluru Bulls ne Pawan Sehrawat ko release kyun kiya,” a user questioned Bulls.
“#bengalurubulls Telugu guys getting benefits of Bengaluru normal,” another quirky tweet read.
“Let's laugh at u mumba and Bengaluru bulls,” a user joked.

Pawan Sehrawat has been match-winner for Bengaluru Bulls in the past

It’s worth noting that Pawan Sehrawat was the match-winner for the Bengaluru Bulls earlier as he accumulated 962 points for the franchise in his three-season stint. It was no surprise as the Bulls wanted him at any cost in the PKL 2024 Auction.

After missing the PKL 9 season, Pawan Sehrawat made a comeback in PKL 10, roped in by the Telugu Titans for a whopping price of INR 2.605 crore, breaking all the auction records to emerge as the most expensive player in the history of the PKL.

He accumulated 217 points in 21 matches in PKL 10 and failed to take his side to the top half of the points table, settling for the wooden spoon. However, he would be aiming to bounce back this time around.
