Among the teams that have slipped down in the pecking order has been the Bengal Warriors. The West Bengal-based side have lost three consecutive games on the trot and are currently placed at the 10th place in the points table.
Amid all their struggles, however, one man has stood out with his impeccable skills. Young right raider from Haryana, Nitin Kumar, has been one of the stars of the franchise and he has delivered consistently under pressure with his raiding capabilities on the mat.

The Star raider also spoke about his own journey in Kabaddi so far and spoke about his preparations for this season:
"I had started playing the sport in 2016 after my 10th board exams. I practised under the tutelage of Naresh Narwal Sir at the Narwal Sports Academy. I gave the trials there for the Pro Kabaddi League and was selected by the Bengal Warriors post which my journey began in the PKL."
Talking about his own preparations during the ongoing season, Nitin Kumar added:
"I look to give my 100 percent for the team and don't bother about individual records. I try to do what is best for the team and prepare accordingly before every game."
"We will come back stronger" - Nitin Kumar assures the Bengal Warriors fans of a comeback for the remainder of the season
The Bengal Warriors have had a tough season so far in the ongoing PKL and are languishing towards the bottom of the table at the 10th position. They faced a couple of heavy defeats against the Patna Pirates and the Tamil Thalaivas.
A victory in their next game against the Telegu Titans is the need of the hour and Nitin Kumar for one, seemed determined about the same. Speaking about the fans, he said:
"The support has been really good so far and we're grateful to the fans. I would appeal to them to keep supporting us. We will comeback stronger in the next few games and will give our best on the mat."
Nitin Kumar explained how the coach and the team management have been working closely with the players in the mini break that they got in the last few days to turn their fortunes around. The right raider seemed optimistic about favorable results in the next few games. He said:
"The coach has been preparing the plans accordingly and our analyst has been helping us a lot. He has been explaining our mistakes and pointing out the potential flaws of the other teams which we can exploit. I believe that if all the players can do their bit and get their act together, then the results will follow in the next few games."
