Our Strategy for Today Will be Different: Udyan Kumar (Coach, Telugu Titans)
After a breathtaking first day of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi Season 2, we will see another clash between Telugu Titans and Dabang Delhi who were at 5th and 6th place in the first season respectively. Both the teams are preparing very hard to win their first match in the second season. Telugu Titans both the matches they played in the inaugural season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi.
Coach of the Telugu Titans Udyan Kumar spoke to SportsKeeda on the morning of their first match against Dabang Delhi and revealed some information about their team and their preparations. When asked about their preparation against Delhi Dabang, he sounds very confident on his players.
“Our team is fully prepared and we also have 2-3 foreign players with us. All of our players are fully fit. We are ready to play against Dabang Delhi,” Kumar said.
He also shared his observations with us from the first 2 games of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi 2015 and said that Telugu Titans strategy will be totally different for the game.
“Success rate of raiders become low this season, scoring rate become low. In the first season players were aggressive now after coming to Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, they started controlling their game. All the players become mature now, they are focusing on technical aspects of the match.
“In both matches yesterday riding score of raiders were low and defense score was high. My strategy will be entirely different; I can’t disclose it before the match. You will see that during the match,” the coach said.
We Will Play With 3 New Players Today: Udyan Kumar
Udyan Kumar also revealed the information about the players, who will play their first match of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi 2015 including the foreign players.
“Both our Iranian players will play today, Hadi Oshtorak and Meraj Sheykh. Both the Iranian players are all-rounder,” he said.
Telugu Titans also have some new Indian players in the team. He said, “From Indian players Sandeep will play in today’s match. He is the youngest player in the tournament; he is 12th class student. He will play the role of left corner defender.”
