Pro Kabaddi 2016 Season 4: Dabang Delhi vs Bengaluru Bulls Preview - Match Prediction, Time, Venue, Playing Squads & Live Match Telecast info
Remaining unbeaten after their two games in this season, an in-form Bengaluru Bulls will take on Dabang Delhi for match 12 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. The Surender Nada led Bengaluru Bulls have a win against the Bengal Warriors and a tie against Jaipur Pink Panthers from their two games, both which emerged as thrilling finishes.
Dabang Delhi led by the towering Kashiling Adake have played three games, ending up on the losing side twice, once against the Bengal Warriors and the other game against U-Mumba in the game previous to this. Pitted against the Puneri Paltans, Delhi overcame all theories to match the Manjeet Chhillar led side minute to minute and ended the match with a thrilling tie to their credit.
Dabang Delhi performance so far
Delhi will be buoyed by the form of young raider Selvamani K, who has been their best raider with 11 points from three games. Meraj Sheykh has been a revelation since his inception in this season, while Deepak Narwal and Kashiling Adake found their footing against U Mumba.
Playing their first game against the Bengal Warriors, the only bright spark amongst a disastrous game was Iranian Meraj Sheykh. Lead raiders Kashiling Adake and Deepak Narwal had a bad game, which dealt a major blow to them. The defence quarters had a dreadful game too, as none of the main defenders could stop Bengal’s raiders from scoring points at free will which cost them the game.
Facing an upbeat Paltan line-up, Delhi were expected to go down to Pune. However, some immaculate tackling from Sachin Shingade and Kashiling Adake ensured that Pune did not run away with straightforward points. Deepak Narwal combined well with Selvamani K and Meraj Sheykh to go through the defence of Pune.
Coming into the match against U Mumba, Delhi had to be at the top of their game in order to beat the Mumbai side, who were looking to make a comeback into winning ways. However, between Delhi and victory was Rishank Devadiga. Yet again he proved his value as a raider, scoring eight points in the game to help U Mumba script victory and end their string of losses.
Bengaluru Bulls performance so far
Coming into the tournament, the Bengaluru side was revamped for good and had the experience it lacked from Season 3. Surender Nada and Mohit Chhillar were to form the defensive core along with Manoj Kumar, and Rohit Kumar would be entrusted with the raiding duties.
The Bengaluru Bulls have certainly matched these expectations in both the games they have played. Ashish Sangwan was retained ahead of the season and has not performed to his potential. He will have to repay the faith shown onto him by the management.
In the first match against Bengal, Rohit Kumar showcased his class, but mostly in the crunch situations during the second half. In the first half, the Bengaluru raiders were subdued in their raids as were the Bengal raiders. Most of the points came from the defence quarters, led magnificently by skipper Nada, who found an able assistant in Mohit Chhillar. Nada and Mohit found themselves amongst the points which helped Bengaluru clinch a last minute win over the Warriors.
Following the last-minute win against the Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru could have emerged victorious even against the Pink Panthers, but were forced to settle for a tie after committing schoolboy mistakes in the final moments of the game.
Match Prediction
After suffering two back to back losses, Dabang Delhi will most likely be low on confidence, which could affect their chances against a firm Bengaluru Bulls side. Nevertheless, Bengaluru will also have to be vary of the slip-ups they are bound to endure with respect to the earlier matches they have taken part in.
Rohit Kumar has been in some good form and has been ably supported by Vinod Kumar. Rohit will have to improve from the game against Jaipur, where he could muster just 6 points from his raids and he will no doubt be the X-factor for this game. Mohit Chhillar and Surender Nada have forged a wonderful partnership over time and their contribution will be vital to upstage Dabang Delhi’s raiders.
After two par games, Kashiling Adake found his footing against U Mumba where he scored seven points to almost lead Delhi to victory. Selvamani K, who was retained by the franchise has been sensational for Delhi and will have to utilise the weapons he has in his versatile artillery to score points off the strong Bulls defence.
On the day, Bengaluru might just have their noses ahead of Delhi. Lacking confidence, Delhi will be looking to make serious amends to their campaign. Bengaluru, who have some momentum on their side will need to execute their plans carefully and protect themselves from constant faults to cross the finish line with ease.
