Rohit Kumar in action for the Bengaluru Bulls

The final match of the Bengaluru leg of Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 features Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Match 35. Bangalore are yet to register a win at home and are at the back of 5 consecutive defeats. Currently, 6th in the table with only 3 wins from 10 matches, chances of qualifying for the semis are slim for the Bulls.

On the other hand, Dabang Delhi is 7th in the table with 2 wins and a dramatic draw against Puneri Paltans. The Dabangs have been impressive in Season 4 and have dealt an embarrassing defeat to defending champions, Patna Pirates, 33-15. With both the teams desperate for a win, the match promises to be intriguing.

The Live Streaming for the Pro Kabaddi Season 4 game between Dabang Delhi and Bengaluru Bulls will be available on starsports.com from 21:00 hours IST. The match will be telecasted live from the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD)/Star Sports 2 in English and Star Sports 3 /Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

Bengaluru Bulls started off their campaign with a dramatic win over Bengal Warriors, 24-23. The Bulls followed it up with a nail-biting 28-28 draw, against former champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers. They lost their third match against today’s opponents, Dabang Delhi, 32-24. The Bulls followed up the defeat with two consecutive victories in close matches over the Puneri Paltans, 29-27, and Telugu Titans, 30-28.

After losing only one match in the first 5 matches of the season, Bulls went on a spree of 5 consecutive defeats, since then. The series of defeats started against Patna Pirates, 31-25, and lost out in a thriller against U Mumba, 23-24. The Bulls have played three matches at home thus far and are yet to register a victory.

They lost their home matches to Telugu Titans, 24-32, and former champions, Jaipur Pink Panters, 22-24. In their most recent match yesterday, Bengaluru disappointed their home fans once again, as an out-of-sorts Bulls’ side went down against defending champions, Patna Pirates, 23-38.

The defeat dealt a huge blow to Bengaluru’s top 4 aspirations, and they need to win every game from hereon to give themselves a slim chance of qualifying for the semis. The Bulls have a fantastic raider in Season 3’s MVP, Rohit Kumar, who has 69 raid points in Season 4. However, Kumar has been barely provided support by the other Bulls’ raiders, which has cost Bengaluru dearly in this season. Rajesh Mondal has to step up and take some pressure off Rohit Kumar.

Mohit Chhillar will lead Bangalore’s defence, and has been mighty effective in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 4. Chhillar has been well supported by Surender Nada throughout Season 4, but the cover defence will be an area of concern for the Bulls. Chhillar and Nada have to come out on top against the likes of Kashiling Adake and Selavamani K, otherwise, it’ll get very difficult for Bulls’ today.

Dabang Delhi has been, by far the most disappointing team in the last 3 seasons of Pro Kabaddi League, but the Dabangs have shown grit and determination this time around. Even though Dabangs have registered just 2 wins so far, they have come up with some brilliant performances and close encounters. They started off their campaign with a 23-31 defeat against Bengal Warriors and followed it up with an emphatic 27-27 draw against a strong Puneri Paltans side.

In their third match, the Delhi franchise came lost but lost by a margin of just 2 points against U Mumba. Delhi took on Season 1 finalists and today’s opponents, Bengaluru Bulls in their fourth match, and come out with a thumping 32-24 victory. Their next match against Season 1 champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers was their worst performance of Season 4. Delhi went down 26-51.

They followed up their worst performance with their best performance of Season 4, as they crushed Patna Pirates, 33-15, and announced to the viewers that they will be no pushovers’ this time around. In their last match, Delhi went down 23-28 to Telugu Titans in their last match but managed to come out with a point, as they lost by a margin of 7 or less.

Delhi will be relying on their Iranian powerhouse, Meraj Sheykh, to stop their biggest threat, Rohit Kumar. The Iranian has been Delhi’s best performer this season, contributing to both defence and attack. With 22 raid points, Meraj has gotten his team out of trouble over and over again.

Sachin Shingade will be Delhi’s main man on defence, with 25 tackle points, and also came out on top against Rohit Kumar in their previous encounter. Kashiling Adake has been far from his best in this season’s Pro Kabaddi League with just 17 points, but on his day, he can be a huge threat to the Bengaluru defence.

There is nothing much between the team in the head-to-head record as Bangalore lead Delhi 4-3. With Bangalore sitting on 5 consecutive defeats, Delhi will have the upper-hand in today’s match.
