What makes it harder is the match is to be played at DOME@NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai. Bengal will play for pride, and would love to be the party-spoilers late into the tournament.

U Mumba are currently 4th in the table, but are in a very tight position, with derby rivals, Puneri Paltans, knocking at the door. Pune is just a win away from matching Mumbai on points, and a slip-up tonight against Bengal will give Paltans the window of opportunity.

The match will be telecasted live from DOME@NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD)/Star Sports 2 in English and Star Sports 3 /Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

U Mumba faced off against the Titans in a mouth-watering clash which ended 25-25. Neither of the teams could earn 5 points from this match and consolidate their place at the top, but they’ll be glad to get 3 points out of the draw.

Anup Kumar and Rakesh Kumar played an important role as Mumbai led 16-7 at half-time. Titans skipper, Rahul Chaudhuri, spared no Mumbai player as he put on a brilliant performance to help Telugu comeback into the game. U Mumba’s Vikash Kumar scored in Mumbai’s last raid of the game to level at 25 all.

Mumbai is having a mixed season with 6 wins and 4 losses. They kicked off Season 4 in a tense 36-34 clash against former champs, Jaipur Pink Panthers. They faced a humiliating defeat in hands of derby rivals, Puneri Paltans. Mumbai lost by a massive margin of 41-19.

The two matches sum up Mumbai’s season, who have been inconsistent. U Mumba has failed to build on momentum more often than not, as a win is generally followed by a defeat. Mumbai would be desperate to gain momentum, going into the dying stages of the tournament.

Bengal Warriors somehow managed to turn victory into defeat, as they let go of a golden opportunity to make one final charge at a semis spot. Bengal Warriors went down 27-25 to Bengaluru Bulls, ending their chances of making it to the knockout stages.

Bengal took a decisive half-time lead at 15-8, with impressive performances from Vishal Mane and Jang-Kun Lee. Rohit Kumar made the tiring Bengal defense pay in the end, with effective raids to win the match for Bulls.

Bengal’s disappointing campaign started off with a nail-biting loss to Bengaluru Bulls, 23-24. Warriors bounced back in their next match to win against Dabang Delhi, 31-23. It all went downhill for the Warriors, since, as they won only one of their next ten matches.

The Warriors have shown some good form recently but has managed to close game. Last night’s defeat against Bulls was the 2nd consecutive time Bengal failed to close down the game they should’ve definitely won.

With Warriors’ dismal performances so far this season, Bengaluru Bulls are the favorites to win tonight’s encounter.
