Pro Kabaddi: Dabang Delhi hammer Patna Pirates 45-26
Dabang Delhi overcame the challenge posed by Patna Pirates in the 39th match of the Pro Kabaddi League. They defeated the team in green by 45-26. Kashiling Adake delivered the goods today with his 13 points in the match. Patna Pirates was just not able to hold their defence tight enough and this resulted in 3 super raids for Dabang Delhi.
The hosts started the encounter on the front foot and soon took the 3-0 lead over Patna Pirates. Kashilng Adake conjured a super raid and earned 3 points in his very first raid of the match. Gurvinder Singh got the first point of the match for Patna Pirates.
Deepak Narwal got into the groove and soon completed 2 quick raids to level the score 4-4 after 6 minutes on the clock. Again it was Delhi who took the lead in the next minutes with Rohit Kumar Chaudhari earning his side 3 points via a super raid and Patna Pirates were down to 1 man.
Dabang Delhi inflicted the first all-out of the match on Patna Pirates to take a 13-5 lead with just 9 minutes on the clock.
However, there was no stopping Delhi today as Kashiling Adake got his 2nd super raid of the match and earned 4 points in a single raid. Patna Pirates were facing their 2nd all-out of the match inside 13 minutes of the first half.
Dabang Delhi got Patna Pirates all-out for the 2nd time in the match and took a 22-7 lead with Patna Pirates having no answer to the questions posed by the Delhi’s red army.
Kashiling Adake and Rohit Kumar continued earning points for Delhi and increased the gap to 17 points. Both the defences held together in the final minutes of the first half and Dabang Delhi went into the break with a 26-11 lead.
There was no way back for Patna Pirates
Both teams started the second half on a defensive note with no change on the scorecard in the first two minutes. Deepak Narwal got 2 Delhi’s players out in the next raid and reduced the Delhi team to just 2 men. However, Ravinder Pahal blocked Sandeep Narwal to earn a super tackle for his team and save them from getting all-out.
Dabang Delhi’s defence defended their half brilliantly to deny Patna Pirates any respite and twice came back from 2 men down. Deepak Narwal was blocked by Delhi’s defence on 2 occasions and handing them a 15 point lead with just 8 minutes left on the clock.
Rohit Kumar Chaudhari once again rose to the occasion and complete a super raid and got Patna Pirates all-out for the 3rd time in the match. Dadaso Awad and Kashiling Adake ensured a 45-26 win for Dabang Delhi in front of their home crowd.
With this win, Dabang Delhi move into the 5th position and will play Jaipur Pink Panthers tomorrow at the Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. However, Patna Pirates stayed at 4th position despite the defeat and just 2 points ahead of Dabang Delhi. the Patna franchise will play their next match against Bengal Warriors on 14th August.
