With the PKL having spread its wings far into the fifth season, the league has unearthed some special raiding talents, youngsters who have managed to make the best of defenders look foolish with their crafty raiding methods while the defenders have put in quick, strong dashes to throw raiders off the court.

One of the key traits that defines a good defender is his ability to judge the situation and pick the right time to put in the dives and holds. One man who has managed to steal hearts is U Mumba's right corner Surinder Singh, who has fearlessly managed to bring down the best of raiders.

Agile and always on his toes, Surinder has played his role to perfection and has been one of the main contributors to U Mumba's campaign. From 11 matches, the right corner has picked 31 points and has been a consistent figure in the starting seven of the team ahead of the likes of Hadi Oshtarak.

Although he primarily plays on the right cover position in other tournaments, Surinder has exuberated confidence to pin down raiders at will with his quick thinking and fast, strong dashes and blocks.
