Pro Kabaddi League 2017 Season 5: Jaipur Pink Panthers star Jasvir Singh to miss match against Haryana
The Pro Kabaddi League Season 5 league phase is now entering its business end as the action heats up and teams approach their last few matches. In Zone A, the race is still quite open, with all six teams still in the fray to secure the top three spots and enter the super playoffs.
The last day of the eighth week in Ranchi will see the Jaipur Pink Panthers take on the Haryana Steelers in a crucial matchup for both sides. The side from the Pink City won their previous match against Delhi and will be eyeing a win against the Steelers, which will push them to fourth place and put them in good stead for a charge to the top.
However, they will have to do so without their star raider Jasvir Singh, who will not line up against Haryana tonight on Thursday after he was not included in the matchday squad versus Delhi as well. Sources in the team management have confirmed to Sportskeeda that they will continue with the same lineup that took to the mat against Delhi, which means that Jasvir will once again miss out.
He has been a key figure for the team and led his side in the absence of Manjeet Chhillar, who was absent in between due to injury. He was also their leader for the Jaipur side in Season 4, leading them to a memorable final where they lost to the Patna Pirates.
It remains to be seen when he will return to the lineup, but in his absence, Jaipur's young raiders have done well to keep the scoreboard ticking. Young Nitin Rawal, Ajit and Pawan Kumar were excellent against Delhi and will look to maintain their form against the Steelers.
Captain Manjeet Chhillar, defender Somvir Shekhar, Sidharth and Santhapanaselvam are expected to form the rest of the lineup as the Panthers eye fourth place on the table.
