But apart from this, the Mumbai leg might go down in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League as quite an epic one, for there were many firsts' that were recorded. For the first time, two matches were washed off despite kabaddi being a sport that is played indoors. But despite all of this, the Mumbai leg witnessed a lot of action-packed clashes, many of them swinging like a pendulum through the course of the match, adding to the delight of the viewers not only in the stadium but across television screens pan-India.
There were a quite a few raiders who lit up the kabaddi mat on fire with their rampant attacking strides and Sportskeeda lists out the best five out of them in this article!
#5 Ajay Thakur (Tamil Thalaivas)
The tall, lanky raider led the attacking charge for the new entrants Tamil Thalaivas not only in the capacity of a raider but also as a captain. His swiftness and agility were quite on point in Mumbai and he ended up amassing 17 points from the two matches that he played, which included a Super-10 outing as well.
His extended hand touches on the cover defenders as well as the bonus points from under the nose of the corner defenders were executed to perfection and one felt that the Ajay Thakur from the Kabaddi World Cup was finally back in action. He will look to carry on with the same kind of momentum in the Kolkata leg.
