VIVO Pro Kabaddi 2019 shifts to Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai in its fifth week as the hosts Tamil Thalaivas square off against defending champions Bengaluru Bulls in the opening match. 

The Bengaluru Bulls have raced to an important 17-10 win at half-time, with Pawan Sehrawat yet again leading the way with 7 points. The Bulls inflicted an early all-out on the Thalaivas to take a 10-1 lead early in the game but the Thalaivas have done well to make a slight comeback.

Bengaluru Bulls lost two back to back matches and will look to get back to winning ways as they stand in 5th place. Tamil Thalaivas in 7th place will be eyeing an epic start to the leg and move up in the rankings.

'Showman' Rahul Chaudhari has been a stalwart for Thalaivas' offence with 42 raid points in six matches. Skipper Ajay Thakur found form recently with 9 raid points against Gujarat Fortune Giants. These two raiding heavyweights will lead the offence for Thalaivas along with Shabeer Bappu as their do or die raider.

The current orange arm-band holder, 'Hi-Flyer' Pawan Sehrawat has 87 raid points in seven matches at an incredible average of 12.43 raid points. He has been the lone warrior in Bulls victories' in Season 7. Skipper Rohit Kumar has also found his form recently with a Super 10 in his last match. They will be up against an experienced defence of Tamil Thalaivas.

Veteran Manjeet Chhillar has scored 26 tackle points in six matches and is in sublime touch this season. Mohit Chhillar has also led his tackle points' tally with a High-5 recently against Gujarat. Ran Singh and Ajeeth will be aiding the defence as support to the team.

Mahender Singh has carried the defence for Bengaluru Bulls with 22 tackle points in seven matches. Saurabh Nandal and Amit Sheoran have performed at par as the corner defenders while Mohit Sehrawat will look to improve his numbers as the right cover defender for the team.
