Pro Kabaddi: Telugu Titans to go all out against Bengaluru Bulls
The Telugu Titans have been the most entertaining side in the Pro Kabaddi League this season and they might not have topped the charts in terms of points, but if the league was to be won on entertainment served, the Titans would have won the league already.
Approaching every game with a gung-ho approach though has worked wonders for the Titans with almost five top raiders in their ranks in the shape of Rahul Chaudhary, do-or-die raid specialist Sukesh Hedge and many more.
When asked about any possible alterations to their approach for the big semi-final, the Telugu Titans’ team manager K.Jagmohan felt they couldn’t alter the approach of his side even if they wished to due to the combination that they play.
“We play with 4-5 raiders in the team and it works well for us playing that way as we know at least couple of them will click. So with so many raiders in the team we can’t play a defensive game as we won’t be able to sustain it. So we have to go all out and we will go with the same approach on Friday,” said Jagmohan who spoke to Sportskeeda ahead of the big game.
“Need to focus on defence too”
But, he was quick to throw a caution at his side as he felt his team needs to tighten up in certain areas defensively or may risk losing the game.
“Going all out doesn’t mean we don’t focus on our defence. We have had bitter memories of doing that in the past especially against Bengaluru Bulls where we lost out despite having the lead. So there are some areas of concern which we want to plus before this time out,” said a wary K. Jagmohan, who paid due respect to their opponents in the semi-final.
The Bengaluru Bulls have been a thorn in the flesh of the Telugu Titans having beaten them on three of the four occasions the two sides have met while the other encounter ended in a draw. So form battles history today when the Titans take on the Bulls in the south-Indian derby.
The Telugu Titans will look to continue their rampant march to the final and change a bit of history in process, while the Bengaluru Bulls will like the hoodoo to continue for one more game at least as they look to reach the showpiece final on Sunday.
