Pro Kabaddi: Telugu Titans woo large crowds in Hyderabad

The crowd gathered to see their favourite team in action

They are only warming up, but their fans are turning up the heat for the Telugu Titans in Hyderabad. The home team has reached its base ahead of the next leg in the city and the Telugu people are embracing their team with open arms and warm smiles.

A dedicated throng of fans, numbering in the hundreds stayed put around the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi tent at the Forum Mall in Hyderabad, waiting eagerly for their stars to turn up. It did not matter to these tireless fans that the stars were running terribly late for a 6:30 pm date with the local people.

The tent was buzzing with activity, cheered on by a raucous collection of music, masti and some indulgent trivia that allowed the fans to collect some handy gifts from the activity around the tent. It was heartwarming to witness people lining up four levels high to watch some of the high voltage action served at the event.

You can be certain that the first match in Hyderabad in front of a sellout crowd at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium is going to be a passionate affair. The opener in the city will feature the Titans against the Pink Panthers from Jaipur.

The Panthers struggled to make an early impact this season, but the defending champions showed they still had some life in them with brilliant victories over Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls in the past week.

The battle between a balanced Titans team and the Panthers promises to be an intriguing starter for the Hyderabad leg. Navneet Gautam and Jasvir Singh are hurting at being sixth on the table after seven games and just two wins. Get ready for a thriller on Tuesday.
