Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers Match Prediction: Who will win today's Pro Kabaddi 2017 match?
In Match No. 84 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the Puneri Paltan will lock horns against the Haryana Steelers at the Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. When the two teams clashed against each other earlier in the league, the match ended in favour of the Paltan wherein they clinched the victory by a huge margin, which is, in fact, the last match they played before tonight's encounter.
The Haryana Steelers, on the other hand, are coming into this match on the back of a draw against the Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Pune will bank heavily on their skipper, Deepak Hooda to spearhead the attack, especially now that he is coming off a stellar Super-10 outing from the last match. He will be assisted in his strides by all-rounder Sandeep Narwal, do-or-die specialist Rajesh Mondal and the young gun Monu.
The defence of the Maharashtra side will be manned by two experienced campaigners, Girish Ernak and Dharmaraj Cheralathan on either end of the mat. To complete the starting seven, the skilled Bangladeshi defender, Ziaur Rehman will be brought into the scheme of things given his precise and lethal tackles.
The Haryana Steelers will look to stage a complete side tonight since their key men were out of action in the last match. Mohit Chhillar and Surender Nada will take to the mat post a short break and will primarily look to thwart the challenge from the Pune raiders. Supporting them in the defence will be the young trio of Neeraj Kumar, Kuldeep Singh and particularly Vikas who was quite impressive in the last match with four tackle points to his credit.
With Vikas Khandola not fit due to injury concerns since the past few matches, the attack will be led by Deepak Dahiya who has come to the fore alongside the experienced Wazir Singh and Services man, Surjeet Singh.
Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers match prediction
Akin to the result in the last fixture between these two teams, the advantage firmly rests in the hands of the Puneri Paltan primarily because, in terms of the team on paper, they edge past the Haryana Steelers.
The only way for the Steelers to change the course of the match is to let their own defence overpower the Pune raiders, particularly Deepak Hooda and Rajesh Mondal, by keeping them out of the equation for the maximum amount of time.
