Star Sports Pro Kabaddi 2016, Season 4: Team of the Delhi Leg
The final leg of the league stage came to an end with 7 extremely entertaining matches played at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Delhi. After a lot of drama, tension among the fans and the players, we have our final four teams which will contest for the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi (PKL) title.
Ahead of the Delhi leg, Jaipur Pink Panthers and Patna Pirates had confirmed their spots in the semi-final. Telugu Titans, first, and then Puneri Paltan, on the last day of the leg, completed the slots.

Rahul Chaudhari – Raider (Telugu Titans)
The man with the green band continued his fine form into the final leg of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4, gathering a mammoth total of 24 points in the Titans’ two matches in Delhi. The 23-year-old went on to claim his 22nd Super 10 in the 35-23 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers to help the team qualify for the semis. In a 46-25 demolition of the table toppers Patna Pirates, Rahul led from the front by mustering a whopping 13 points (11 raid points and 2 tackle points).
Sandeep Narwal – All-rounder (Telugu Titans)
The second most expensive player in the PKL history, Sandeep Narwal, also starred in both of the Titans’ last two league matches. Against the Pink Panthers, he could manage only a solitary point, but it was against his former team that he came to life. With 6 tackle points vs Patna, in the Titans’ last league match, Sandeep helped the team move to second spot in the standings.
Fazel Atrachali – Left Corner (Patna Pirates)
Despite his team already assured of top spot, Fazel didn’t take his foot off the pedal. In a narrow 32-31 win over the hosts, the Iranian scored 4 tackle points to knock Dabang Delhi out of the tournament. Against Telugu Titans in their second match of the leg, the 24-year-old scored a mammoth 8 tackle points, albeit in a losing cause.
Kashiling Adake – Dabang Delhi (Raider)
The Eagles’ star raider Kashiling Adake finally found form in his team’s home leg, claiming a gigantic total of 38 raid points as well as 3 tackle points in the four matches played at the Thayagaraj Sports Complex. His 13 raid points against the Warriors kickstarted the Eagles’ home campaign with a massive 41-20 win while he scored 11 and 10 points in the next two matches vs the Pirates and Paltan respectively. In their final home match, he scored 7 points but was unable to help his team beat U Mumba.
Manjeet Chhillar – All-rounder (Puneri Paltan)
The Paltan received a welcome boost ahead of their important last two league matches with skipper Manjeet Chhillar making a return from a knee injury and he was in the thick of the action immediately.With 12 tackle points in 2 matches, Manjeet not only propelled PuneriPaltan to the semis but also created the record of most tackle points in a single match by amassing 11 vs Bengaluru Bulls.
Mohit Chhillar – Right Corner (Bengaluru Bulls)
The most expensive player in the PKL history, Mohit Chhillar starred for the Bulls in their last league match against the Puneri Paltan in Delhi on the final day of the league stage. The 23-year-old may have been unable to save the Bulls from succumbing to their 8th defeat of the season, but he kept them in the game for large parts of it with 6 tackle points.
Deepak Niwas Hooda – All-rounder (Puneri Paltan)
The 22-year-old starred for the Paltan against Dabang Delhi in their penultimate match and claimed a personal high 17 raid points to keep his team’s semi-final hopes alive. In their final match as well, Deepak shined with 9 raid points to ensure the Paltan make their second ever appearance at the playoff stage.
