BEN vs PUN Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - October 29, 2024
The Bengal Warriorz will face the Puneri Paltan in the first match of a PKL 11 doubleheader on Tuesday, October 29, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The Warriorz enter this match following a 31-31 tie with U Mumba.
As a result, they've had a bit of a mixed bag to start this season, with one win, tie, and defeat under their belt. They were hammered by the Puneri Paltan in one of their meetings last season and will be out for revenge in this one.
For the defending champions, it will be business as usual as they come into this game on the back of a solid 36-22 win over the Bengaluru Bulls. Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this match.
#3 Nitesh Kumar (DEF) (BEN)
Bengal Warriorz's right corner Nitesh Kumar hasn't had a good start to the season, scoring only five tackle points in three matches. The experienced campaigner has made a fair few errors and will be determined to cut them out of his game ahead of a big match against the Paltan.
A player of Nitesh's quality and achievements in the PKL shouldn't go quiet for so long, and with the likes of Aslam Inamdar and Akash Shinde going up against him being left raiders. At 14 credits, he is a tad on the expensive side, but Nitesh certainly has the points ceiling to deliver for his Dream11 backers.
#2 Pankaj Mohite (RAI) (PUN)
While most see Pankaj Mohite as the third raider for the Puneri Paltan, he has actually put in 46 raids in four matches this season, just one fewer than one of their lead raiders Mohit Goyat. So it's just the end product that has been lacking from him this season, but for a player of his quality, one good match is all it takes to return to form.
Pankaj plays for the Paltan and is naturally a capable defender as well, and can chip in with the odd tackle point in addition to what he does in the raiding department. Once he gets going, he's a tough player to stop, and with the bonus of picking up all-out points as well, Pankaj is a solid Dream11 surprise pick for your consideration.
#1 Nitin Kumar (RAI) (BEN)
Bengal Warriorz raider Nitin Kumar has inexplicably low Dream11 ownership heading into this match. He has made a solid start to the season, scoring 23 raid points in three matches, but perhaps because of the strength of the opponent, his number of Dream11 backers has taken a nosedive.
However, the youngster is one of the lead raiders for Bengal, and his swift movement and great technical ability mean that he has a really high points ceiling. He's a similar profile of player to Narender Kandola, who terrorized the Paltan defense last week, and Nitin could well do the same.
