Telugu Titans vs Dabang Delhi: The Eagles look to bounce back with a win

Can Kashiling Adake repeat his heroics from last season against Telugu Titans?

Dabang Delhi K.C will play their second game of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 3 when they take on the Telugu Titans later tonight. The Titans have already played two matches so far this season and have split the two, losing their first match against U Mumba and winning their second match against Puneri Paltan.

Delhi will be looking to bounce back from the defeat they suffered in their opening encounter against Bengaluru Bulls. Despite a great performance from star raider Kashiling Adake who scored 8 points, the Eagles succumbed to a 35-29 defeat.

A great debut from raider Surjeet Narwal (Singh) saw him score 10 points for Delhi, and his encouraging performance bodes very well for the future. His ability to perform and raid effectively reduced the pressure on Kashiling and helped the Eagles fight back into the match.

A slow start in their opening match was what hurt Dabang Delhi the most and they will be looking to avoid that when they take on the Telugu Titans tonight. The Titans have had an interesting beginning to the season, having taken defending champions U Mumba close in the opening match, eventually losing 27-25 while they won after a referral on their buzzer raid in their second match, defeating Puneri Paltan 27-26.

Telugu Titans captain Rahul Chaudhari is the danger man, having scored the buzzer raid against Pune in the previous match. His ability of picking up points at crucial times is something very uncanny and Dabang Delhi’s captain Ravinder Pahal will have to be at his best to prevent him from scoring at will.

The Titans will look to make the most of their home advantage and will look to provide Chaudhari, Sukesh Hegde and Meraj Sheykh with the best possible opportunities to get them maximum points.

Delhi have strengthened their squad this season and having taken a match to acclimatise, will look to change their record in Visakhapatnam and win their first match in the city, having lost both their previous matches.

The team from the national capital will need to be on their toes and ensure they execute both defensively and offensively to keep the Titans out. They will also need to be alert in the crucial moments, as the home team like to capitalise on just the right moments and make their advantage count.

Both these teams have always given us exciting matches, with their encounter last season being memorable, finishing 45-45, with Kashiling Adake creating history by scoring 24 points, something never seen before in the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League.
