The UP Yoddhas (UP) and U Mumba (MUM) face off in the 45th match of Pro Kabaddi 2024 on Sunday, November 10, at the Noida Indoor Stadium. This match will be the first of the second leg of the group stage of this competition, with the Yoddhas enjoying the support of their home fans.
They will need some backing going into this match as they enter this one on the back of three successive defeats, the latest of which was a 30-33 loss to the Jaipur Pink Panthers. #2 Mahender Singh (ALL) (UP)
The UP Yoddhas experimented with a new cover combination in the last match, handing left cover Gangaram an outing in the starting 7 in place of Mahender Singh. However, the experienced defender is likely to regain his starting spot ahead of this match against his former team U Mumba.
He hasn't had the best of times this season, scoring only seven tackle points in six matches. However, he will be up against plenty of left raiders in the U Mumba camp, providing him direct opportunities to go head-to-head against players who he will be in a good position to initiate tackles on.
Given his low ownership, he could be a powerful Dream11 option.
#1 Parvesh Bhainswal (DEF) (MUM)
Another very experienced PKL left cover defender, but one playing for U Mumba, Parvesh Bhainswal could have a productive outing from a Dream11 perspective against the Yoddhas. The U Mumba thinktank reunited the cover combination of Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal at the auction, but the left cover Parvesh has left room for improvement with his start to the season.
