UP vs TEL Dream11 Prediction: 3 surprise picks for today's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match - November 14, 2024
The UP Yoddhas (UP) take on the Telugu Titans (TEL) in the 53rd match of Pro Kabaddi 2024 on Thursday, November 14, at the Noida Indoor Stadium.
The Yoddhas are in dire straits right now and enter this match on the back of a string of defeats. Their most recent one was a 33-35 loss against U Mumba in front of their home crowd that would really incense them as it saw them lose from a clearcut winning position.
The Titans, on the other hand, have won four games on the trot for the first time since PKL Season 5 and they'll be keen to keep this good run going. Their last outing was a stunning 34-33 win over the defending champions Puneri Paltan.
With lots on the line for both teams, expect this to be a high-octane encounter. On that note, let's look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this one.
#3 Ajit Pawar (DEF) (TEL)
Telugu Titans' left cover Ajit Pawar could have a huge role to play in defense for his side in tonight's clash against the Yoddhas. Their primary raiding weapon is Bharat Hooda, a left raider, and the strong Ajit Pawar and his powerful blocks and dashes will be the key to stopping the powerhouse raider that Bharat is.
Ajit has had a pretty decent time in PKL 11 so far, scoring 13 tackle points in eight matches. Those are solid numbers for a left cover defender, and going up against a few left raiders in this match will only increase his Dream11 output. He could be a solid Dream11 surprise pick for this fixture.
#2 Shivam Chaudhary (RAI) (UP)
UP Yoddhas' raiding unit barring Bharat Hooda has undergone many changes since the start of the season, with Surender Gill, Gagan Gowda, Bhavani Rajput, and now, Shivam Chaudhary all fighting for the two spots alongside Bharat in their raiding trio.
Right now, Shivam is a certainty to start this match after producing a Super 10 against U Mumba, and is in good form. Against a Titans' defense that has been inconsistent this season, any raider who starts the game well can really find some momentum and potentially haul big.
While he's not a proven Dream11 asset by any means, Shivam Chaudhary could be a handy differential option.
#1 Ashu Singh (DEF) (UP)
UP Yoddhas' right cover Ashu Singh hasn't had the best of seasons, and neither has whoever occupies the left cover position alongside him. Despite the best efforts of Sumit and the right corner Hitesh, they keep conceding points from the cover positions, and going up against a largely right-raiding Titans, it's Ashu Singh's defending that'll be under the scanner against Pawan Sehrawat and Ashish Narwal.
However, while it is a huge challenge for him, it also offers him plenty of opportunities to score tackle points and record Dream11 hauls for his backers. An experienced PKL defender with 95 appearances to his name, Ashu is a proven performer who could pick up valuable points for your team in this fixture.
