The UP Yoddhas took a huge step towards securing qualification for the playoffs of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5 in the last match of the Jaipur leg, against the Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, on Thursday.
While the UP Yoddhas came off with a massive 53-32 victory over the Jaipur Pink Panthers, it was their captain for the night, Rishank Devadika, who outshone all others with his raiding, as he notched up 28 raid points in the match. With this, Devadiga etched his name in the history books, as scored the highest number of raid points in a single match, in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League.
As if that was not enough, the occasion was made all the more special for Rishank, as he was named captain of the UP Yoddhas for the very first time.
Rishank had started off in style, scoring a super raid, that earned the Yoddhas four points. Those were the side’s first points of the match, at a point where they were trailing Jaipur 0-1. You can watch the point here.
He got in yet another Super Raid on the 12th minute of the match, as he fought tooth and nail, while being held back by three Jaipur defenders. You can watch the point here.
