Serie A club makes decision on 23-year-old star amid interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City: Reports
Napoli reportedly wish to keep hold of star attacker Kvicha Kvaratskhelia amid interest from Barcelona and Manchester United. However, Football Insider seem to suggests Manchester City have seriously stepped up their pursuit of the Georgia international ahead of the January transfer window.
According to this source, the Italian outfit will do everything in their power to keep hold of the player. However, if they part ways with him, a significant sum would have to be tabled for to see the deal through.
Kvaratskheli is contracted till 2027, which means Napoli have the negotiating power. Although the winger hasn't hit the heights of the previous season, he has contributed five goals and three assists in 17 appearances across competitions this campaign.
Moreover, he would certainly be tempted to join a team like City, perennial Premier League title challengers, having won six of the last seven titles, including the last four.
Kvaratskhelia, though, should be aware that a starting spot won't be guaranteed under Pep Guardiola, as he would have competition from the likes of Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish.
The 23-year-old attacker has made 105 appearances across competitions for Napoli, bagging 30 goals and 29 assists. His team are poised to challenge for the Serie A titles this season, being second in the table, two points behind leaders Atalanta.
Manchester United and Barcelona target, Alphonso Davies, could reportedly end up at Liverpool
Manchester United and Barcelona, among other European clubs, are interested in Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies. Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be chasing the Canada international's signature.
The race for Davies seems to be heating up, as his contract at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer. In a new twist to the tale, The Athletic claims that the left-back's most plausible destination appears to be Liverpool (as per SportsMole).
The report adds that Chelsea and Arsenal haven't seriously considered a move, while Barcelona's financial problems could hamper their plans. The attack-minded full-back has made 215 appearances across competitions for Bayern Munich, bagging 11 goals and 33 assists.
