17:35 PM IST|| That is all we have in our live coverage of this BBL game. This is Samanvaya Sharma signing off on behalf of Pradeep, as we will take your leave now. Goodbye!
Ben McDermott is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: We knew it was a high scoring ground, we targeted a boundary in every over. You get good value for your shots and played some good cricket shots. David is brilliant, he's been picked up all around the world, there's a reason for that. I took the surge, lost Nikhil but thankfully David came in and went after right from the outset. Honestly we love the power surge part, it's a good little touch to the game and we all love it. When they started the run chase, I wish we had 190. They had no choice but to go after it and we pulled things back pretty well at the backend.
17:15 PM IST|| MATCH SUMMARY|| Hobart Hurricanes won by 11 runs.

Adelaide Strikers won the toss and opted to have a bowl first on this high-scoring ground. Hobart Hurricanes came out to bat and they smashed the first 200-plus score of this season's BBL. Caleb Jewell and Shai Hope took their team ahead nicely after losing the first wicket of Mitchell Owen quite early. They went all guns blazing afterward and scored 43 runs in the powerplay. The wickets kept falling for them at regular intervals, but they never slowed down their scoring momentum and continued to score with the same zeal. Later on, Ben McDermott came out and played an impeccable knock of unbeaten 68 runs and along with him Tim David also showcased his powerful batting skills tonight which all helped them to post such a humongous total of 214 runs on the board. From the bowling unit, Chris Jordan bowled a match-winning spell by taking 2 huge wickets at the crucial stage of the game and also by keeping his economy at just 9 an over. Every other bowler got a wicket tonight except for Riley Meredith.
After this Adelaide Strikers came out for a chase and they began things on a high note, with both Darcy Short and Matthew Short taking on every bowler right from the first bowl. They lost their first wicket in the 7th over where Darcy Short fell into the trap of Billy Stanlake and found the man at deep square leg. The partnership between these two was for 76 runs. Things were moving fairly into the Striker's way till the end of the 10th over. But after that, they lost some wickets in the cluster, which allowed Hobart Hurricanes to be back into this contest, and from that point, the Hurricanes never looked behind. Jamie Overton and Ollie Pope tried their best to take this game deep but they were not able to do so. From their bowling side, Jamie Overton got the highest wickets tonight.
With all this, Hobart Hurricanes snatched a victory from the Striker's hand, and that too in their home ground.

19.6 Riley Meredith to Jamie Overton, HURRICANES HOLD THEIR NERVE! Hurricanes with two wins in a row here. Full and wide, Overton had to reach and squeezes it, but finds the backward point fielder and they jog across for one.
19.5 Riley Meredith to Jamie Overton, FOUR! Too late for the Strikers. Length delivery on middle and leg, Overton whacked it in front of square, races away and finds the ropes.
19.4 Riley Meredith to Jamie Overton, JORDAN TAKES A STUNNER! That should be it for the Hurricanes, final nail in the coffin for the Strikers. Low full toss on the stumps, Overton launches it to long-on, no timing on it. Jordan comes diving forward from the boundary, juggles but seemed to have clinged on. Umpire wants to check the catch here.
That was dipping into Jordan, question is, whether Jordan has his both the hands underneath the ball? TV umpire thinks it has hit the ground and Overton survives!
19.3 Riley Meredith to Jamie Overton, goes full and straight, Overton drilled it to long-on and calls his partner for a couple. Throw comes to the striker's end, Overton seems to have made it as the keeper whips the bails off in a flash. Umpire goes upstairs to check this.
Overton is well in!
19.2 Riley Meredith to Jamie Overton, SIX! BANG! Stunning hit from Overton, there's one six of the over. That's a flat hit from Overton, backs away and slammed it over deep extra-cover for a maximum.
19.1 Riley Meredith to Jamie Overton, FOUR! Full toss into the batter, Overton pulled it to deep mid-wicket, beats the fielder to his right and a much needed boundary for the Strikers.
