Pitch Report
The cracks have started to present themselves and by their edges, they have started to disintegrate. There will be the odd one that turns but there really aren't that many demons in this. Runs are to be had, if you get stuck in.

It's time for Aiden Markram to recieve the winning trophy. He will now head over towards his team and pose for the photographs. Like always, it was a pleasure bringing the coverage for the Test series. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off.
Aiden Markram (South African captain): Yeah I am not too sure about the numbers but I am really proud of the guys and the hard work has finally paid off. We played some really good cricket on conditions we are not used to and we will take a lot of confidence going forward. The three of them to get stuck in was great. It wasn't that easy, they set the individual goals aside and looked towards helping the team. We have really worked well together. KG led from the front and it was amazing to see him bowl in full flow. Overall all three facets of the game has worked very well. Yeah look the WTC final is far away but to get an opportunity is what is driving us. Hopefully we can get to the flight on Lord's
Kagiso Rabada (Player of the Series): Yes losing the toss in Dhaka wasn't the greatest start but we turned that around. Was quite lucky we got to bat first in this Test and then the bowlers didn't have to take any pressure. Every individual in this team is willing to put their hands up. If you look at the two matches, everyone chipped in and everyone is willing to put the hands up. We have the quality especially in the bowling department. The game moves on and you have to keep working hard. I don't look at where I am ranked, winning is a good motivator.
Tony de Zorzi (Player of the Match): Very happy that I was able to contribute and then our bowling attack did what they did today. Aiden added the value with winning the toss. We batted in our natural tempo and that helped. Yeah definitely, we are a young side and winning away from home is very important. We did it against West Indies and now against Bangladesh which will give our boys a lot of confidence.
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh captain): I think they played very good cricket. Very disappointed with how we played the whole series. I think we need to improve on a lot of things especially batting. We didn't bowl well consistently as well. I think it's not about only mental things. Both mental and skill wise we have to improve. Taijul bowled brilliantly in both matches and Mominul batted very well in the second innings but we couldn't quite click as an unit. The way Taijul batted at No 9, he showed the top order on how to take the responsibility.
5 PM local time (4:30 PM IST): South Africa won by an innings and 273 runs
That was a thoroughly convincing performance from South Africa as they won by an innings and 273 runs to take the series against Bangladesh 2-0. The series victory in the subcontinent will give them a lot of confidence going forward but Bangladesh have a lot to ponder on. They were literally blown away in their home conditions and never put up a fight.
After South Africa reached a mammoth first innings score, it looked like the pitch was a belter for the batters. The Proteas batters applied themselves brilliantly and went onto declare on 575 with three centurions Tony de Zorzi, Tristan Stubbs and Wiann Mulder. Bangladesh was reduced to 39/4 at the end of Day 2 and no one would have ever imagined the home team to lose 16 wickets in a day.
It was Kagiso Rabada who bowled superbly in the first innings and finished with a fifer to orchestrate Bangladesh’s collapse. Mominul Haque was the only player to make an impression with a well-crafted 82. Dane Paterson and Keshav Maharaj also bagged a couple of wickets each as South Africa enforced the follow on.
Bangladesh’s batting performance was even below par in the second innings. It was the spin duo of Keshav Maharaj and Senuran Muthusamy who ran through the Bangladesh batting line-up. They were also aided by some horrific shots and not for a single moment it looked Bangladesh could take the game to Day 4.
Najmul Hossain Shanto and Ankon towards the end showed some resistance but it was just a bit too much to ask from them. Hasan Mahmud struck some lusty blows and remained unbeaten on 38 off 30 deliveries which included a four and four sixes. Maharaj finished with his 10th fifer as Nahid Rana spooned one straight to the silly point fielder to bring the curtains down on the second Test.
43.4 Keshav Maharaj to Nahid Rana, WICKET! South Africa win by an innings and 273 runs. A tossed-up fuller one around off, Rana tries to defend it with hard hands and ends up lobbing it to the silly point fielder who doesn't make a mistake. What an emphatic series win for the Proteas.
43.3 Keshav Maharaj to Nahid Rana, flatter on a good-length around off, defended off the frontfoot.
43.2 Keshav Maharaj to Nahid Rana, on a fullish-length around middle, worked away with soft hands towards the on side.
43.1 Keshav Maharaj to Nahid Rana, tossed-up fuller-length delivery around off, Nahid gets a leading edge which falls short of the bowler.
