That is all from the action here as the Aussie Women take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match T20 series. The action resumes on Tuesday and we will be there with all the action from that one as well. For now, this is Sourabh and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda for all the cricketing action around the globe!
Alyssa Healy has been adjudged the Player of the Match! Here is what she has to say.
Alyssa Healy (Australia Women captain): It was a target which wasn't all too easy to chase down, but we got the job done thankfully! It was a decent enough total, we were slightly off in terms of our discipline and gave away quite a few extras. So that needs improving. These are conditions that we should get in the T20 World Cup, so, it's good preparation. We have the depth in our squad, so, the replacements do come in and do their work to the fullest.
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women captain): Losing two wickets early wasn't all that nice, but then my partnerships, first with Murshida and then with Fahima helped. But then, the bowling wasn't up to mark. Batting did click a bit but we should have done better overall. We are inexperienced, but a lift in out mentality will definitely help going forward!
It is time for the post-match presentation now!
MATCH SUMMARY
Australia Women won by 10 wickets
Alyssa Healy 65*(42) | Sophie Molineux 2/18(4) Nigar Sultana 62*(63)
CLINICAL, COMPREHENSIVE AND DOMINANT!! Typical of Australian women to come out to play another match and leave the opposition wondering for answers as to what went wrong.
Chasing a sub-par score of 127, Australian openers have made sure that no other batters were required as they took their team home with 7 overs to go, talk about convincing victories.
Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney came out with a clear plan to take on the bowlers and they did that from the get go to push Bangladesh on the backfoot from the start of the chase. Both the batters were particularly severe on the spinners and with some excellent use of feet, sweeps and reverse sweeps they put them under extreme pressure.
Brilliant strokeplay combined with excellent running between the wickets left Bangladesh searching for answers and they could find none as both the openers remained unbeaten after getting their respective fifties and crossed the finish line.
Earlier in the piece, it was a captain's knock by Nigar Sultana with valuable contributions from Murshida Khatun and Fahima Khatun which saw Bangladesh make their way to their highest total of this white-ball series. They had been pegged back by early wickets from Sophie Molineux and Tayla Vlaeminck but in the end managed to get some respectability on the board.

12.6 Shorna Akter to Beth Mooney, FOUR RUNS TO WIN THE FIRST GAME AT A CANTER! Good length ball on middle-stump. Mooney steps out, makes room and lofts it over extra cover for a boundary against the turn to seal the deal for the visitors!
50 for Beth Mooney who has just flown under the radar with Healy going all guns but has been equally effective in this run-chase, typical Beth Mooney
12.5 Shorna Akter to Beth Mooney, slightly short on the pads. Knocked around to the mid-wicket area on the charge for a couple more runs. 50 for Mooney now!
12.4 Shorna Akter to Beth Mooney, short around off-stump. Patted down to backward point off the back foot, no run.
