Pitch Report
- This is the deck that has less bounce. From the commentary box end, if the bowlers pitch in the 6m region on a hard length, they would be getting seam movement. The odd deliveries would keep low and there would be variable bounce as well

Right! Finally, we had a game in Ontario and the better team booked a spot in the final. 142 wasn't going to be enough by any means when you have a strong batting line up like Toronto. They had a strong start and looked to be complete control before Akhil's double strike made things interesting but Nawaz played a great knock to ease off the pressure. He scored boundaries at regular intervals and Shepherd finished the formalities with 10 balls to spare
So, the final is set between Montreal Tigers and Toronto Nationals. It is going to be a cracking contest, so catch the LIVE coverage tomorrow from 8.30 PM IST. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh and Arya signing off
Toronto Nationals won by 5 wickets
The Toronto Nationals emerged as the winners of Qualifier 2 and they booked a place for the final against the Montreal Tigers. The target of 142 was going to be a tricky one for the Toronto Nationals but they eventually made it look pretty easy in the end. Colin Munro and Unmukt Chand came out all guns blazing and started smashing boundaries at will. It was Chand who began the onslaught before Munro took the onus on himself to start finding the boundaries.
The opening partnership between Munro and Chand yielded 57 runs within the powerplay. Munro looked in a dominating touch and raced off to 36 off 20 deliveries which included five fours and a six. The partnership ended when Chand was dismissed by Akhil Kumar and it started the collapse. Colin Munro was dismissed soon after in the next over. Andries Gous and Rassie van der Dussen looked in good touch and rotated the strength well.
When Armaan Kapoor was dismissed, the score were reduced to 92/4. Mohammad Nawaz then came out in the middle and resurrected the sinking ship with a 27 ball 24. Eventually Romario Shepherd came and smashed a couple of boundaries which took them over the finish line.
Nick Hobson - They played the powerplay really well. It was nice, firstly I didn't get from the middle of the blade but found few at the back end. The total isn't enough. Favourite moment - I enjoyed the whole team atmosphere and hopefully back for the next season
18.2 Akhil Kumar to Romario Shepherd, FOUR! Shepherd finishes things in style and Toronto book their spot in the final! Full and outside off-stump, Shepherd crunches it past extra cover and sees the ball reach the fence in a flash
18.1 Akhil Kumar to Romario Shepherd, FOUR! Full toss and Shepherd sends the ball where it deserves to go. He knocks it to the left of long-on for a boundary
Nawaz is playing a handy knock and it Toronto's game to lose from here
